How To Plan for Thanksgiving Travel
by catterpiller Saturday, Dec. 08, 2012 at 10:10 AM

Some prefer to disconnect water pipes to the washer as well, but if you're only gone for a few days over Thanksgiving, this probably isn't necessary If you can, set your lights on timers so that they'll go on and off while you're away. And ask a neighbor to park in your driveway to scare off thieves. While you're away over Thanksgiving, make sure that your home is properly cared for. Ask a trusted neighbor or loved one to stop in and check on the house every few days. If you have pets, you'll have to make arrangements for their care as well. You may also want to turn off any electrical devices that you won't need while you're gone. Noya
