How To Obtain a Disabled Parking Permit in Alaska

A person with a temporary disability (six-month duration) is issued a disability placard, while a person with a permanent disability is entitled to a placard and license plate. Alaska issues disabled parking permits to its residents who require special parking considerations. The parking permits can take the form of a license plate and a placard.
