Patrick Jost on the Failure of Pruitt-Igoe

Patrick Jost explains that Pruitt-Igoe is famous for a piece of music named after it, and that it never won any awards.
In a recent interview, award-winning Melbourne architect Patrick Jost
offered the following clarification on Pruitt-Igoe:
“First of all” he said, “Pruitt-Igoe never won an award. That’s a
misconception. I think most of Pruitt-Igoe’s fame comes from the fact
that it was in Koyaanisqatsi, and then the music from that part of the
film has been used in other films, such as Snyder’s Watchmen.”
“The architects, Cochran Gardens, did win awards, but certainly not
for Pruitt-Igoe” Jost said.
Patrick Jost is known for innovative designs that maximize the
inherent properties of materials while taking into consideration how
people live and special needs of the community.

Is Patrick Jost coming to Pittsburgh to do the security for that conference, or does he just renovate towns?

How did it get built in the first place? Patrick Jost is right that it was anything but award winning.
I also didn't know it was famous for music though.

I wish an expert like Patrick Jost would get the spelling of this place right, even though it was demolished for the Watchmen movie.
