Today Rustbelt Radio brings you a special report entitled "Reconsidering Thanksgiving". We will feature the show: "Indigenous Politics: From Native New England and Beyond ", which is a weekly program out of WESU Studios in Middletown, Connecticut. The show will feature interviews with 2 members of the Wampanoag tribe who will reflect on the holiday and its relations to colonialism, genocide, and the consolidation of American national identity. The discussion will also explore The National Day of Mourning, as an alternative celebration to Thanksgiving.
