R.I.P. Gary Webb

Gary Webb died one year ago, allegedly a suicide. The award-winning investigative journalist exposed the CIA involvement in bringing crack to the ghettos of California.

It was one year ago today that investigative reporter Gary Webb died from gun shot wounds, allegedly a suicide. Webb was an inspiration as an investigative reporter. He won a pulitzer prize, but not for his controversial three part report "Dark Alliance" which detailed the CIA involvement in flooding the ghettos of California with crack cocaine. It was this story, published in 1996 in the San Jose Mercury News that was to be Webb's undoing. Hear Webb speak now in his own words from the Guerrilla News Network Video.
