POG A20 legal update
by POG Thursday, Oct. 06, 2005 at 9:46 PM

After a preliminary hearing for four of the six August 20th arrestees, several of the charges have been dismissed. The most serious charge of "rioting to prevent official action" (a felony) was dismissed, as well as three charges of failure to disperse. One of the arrestees accepted a plea to a summary offense and was accessed a fine. Unfortunately, several charges are being held over for trial:

POG will post updates when a trial date has been assigned.

A fifth arresstee (biten by a police dog) has a preliminary hearing on October 11. She is charged with failure to disperse (misdemeanor charge). Please consider attending her trial if possible, she also needs our support.
