POG Shuts Down Military-Recruitment Station in Pittsburgh
Police attack with tasers, dogs, and chemical weapons. Six arrested, two
hospitalized, many injured.

Urgent solidarity and help needed!

Today in Pittsburgh, 100 people showed up in response to a call to shut
down military recruitment in Pittsburgh. For the second time in a month,
Pittsburgh Organizing Group (POG) was able to successfully shut down the main recruitment station in Pittsburgh. This marked the sixth time in
recent months that recruitment in Pittsburgh was disrupted by anti-war
activists. Prior to the start of the march, word was received that the
station wouldnt be opening for the day due to the protests.

At 10:45am people began to march towards the Oakland Recruiting Station in order to celebrate this victory, ensure there was no chance of the station reopening that day, and to focus attention on the continuing demand for its closure. The march took over Forbes Avenue opposing traffic and met only limited police interference. Upon arrival, the march moved completely onto the sidewalk and blocked the doors to the center. Speakers from POG talked about the need to confront recruitment and the ongoing war in Iraq. More information on the overall campaign can be found at

As the speech finished, someone taped a cardboard sign to the stations
door reading No Lies Told Today, Recruitment Center Has Been Shut Down. At this point, a cameraman from Fox News shoved his camera into the face of a protester who was standing by the sign. When that individual asked that it be pointed somewhere else (instead of his face) the cameraman became aggressive. An altercation ensued at which point he started screaming to the cops to arrest people for assaulting his camera. Police from the City Of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh promptly began to attack the crowd on the sidewalk. The first person arrested (and according to the police, the person Fox is pressing charges against) was hit and pepper sprayed, during which time a cop held a taser two inches from his face. After that, a women in the crowd was grabbed, hit, pepper sprayed in the face while on the ground, and then tasered, all while three large cops stood around her. She is currently in the hospital and we are unsure of her condition. A male protester was also arrested, pepper-sprayed and tasered. An overwhelming police presence started ordering people to disperse from the sidewalk, and a police dog began pursuing people. Cops hit and shoved people, while the dog lunged forward and bit a 68-year-old grandmother who was walking away with her back to the dog. The police also let the dog bite a videographer, who narrowly avoided injury as the dog only got his pants. Further outrages occurred as the police grabbed a 17 year-old girl off the sidewalk and slammed her to the ground. Her crime? She questioned the legality of their earlier actions. Pepper spray also hit a group of children and the police knocked over a man in a wheelchair.

While a total of six people were arrested, many other people were
successfully un-arrested by activists who pulled them away. All of those
arrested are facing multiple charges; exact charges and bails are unknown as of this time. There is an urgent need for bail money and legal costs, along with solidarity calls and emails. Here is how you can help:

You can donate to legal costs online through paypal -¤cy_code=USD&bn=PP%2dDonationsBF&charset=UTF%2d8

- You can also mail donations (please mark A20 legal costs) to POG c/o TMC 5125, Penn Ave. Pittsburgh PA 15224

Please call the following individuals to demand that they:
- Investigate the conduct of police at the Aug 20 anti-war protest in
Oakland and increase oversight of the Department
- Publicly speak out and work to get those arrested released and the
charges dropped
- Support an immediate moratorium on the use of police dogs at protests and tasers -- which city council recently funded only due to promises they would be used in situations which threatened an officers life and would therefore save lives.

The more people you call the more you help :)

Call Assistant Chief of Police Nathan Harper- 412-323-7821 (when calling police, simply voice your disapproval of the police handling of events and let them know youve asked the city to investigate)

If you were on the scene and a witness to what occurred (regardless of
whether or not it happened to you) you could file a complaint with the
Pittsburgh Civilian Police Review Board. Although the Board can only
investigate and recommend that officers be disciplined, its still
important to document.

The police are violent and are an inherent piece of enforcing and
maintaining the U.S. Empire. While the military enforces our will
overseas, police agencies are utilized to ensure domestic tranquility. A
tranquility that must be disrupted because we are not satisfied with the
state of this world. This system and its manifestations are what we oppose and seek to change. We know that when the state is challenged it will respond with little consideration to what is legal, but at the same time it is important that social movements work through whatever means we have to maximize our rights. We believe in the necessity of direct action to bring to the surface the inherent violence of this system.

POG put a significant amount of time and resources into the Aug. 6 and Aug 20 events, but the truth is these protests are just one piece of our
larger counter-recruitment campaign whose aim is to confront military
recruitment in the city through the utilization of a diversity of tactics.
In the coming months, we will be gearing our efforts more towards
educational work within the schools, holding forums and speakouts and, of course, continuing to organize protests and direct actions. We hope you will consider attending and supporting this work.

POG sends out its most heartfelt thanks to everyone who showed up today. You all are an inspiration to us in the continuing fight for a peaceful
and just world. It is because of your participation that the military
chose to shut down rather than face the generation it is killing, and it
is our hope that this is but a small beginning.

In love, rage and solidarity,
Pittsburgh Organizing Group

Let's Examine This
by Hector Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005 at 10:11 PM

"At this point, a cameraman from Fox News shoved his camera into the face of a protester who was standing by the sign. When that individual asked that it be pointed somewhere else (instead of his face) the cameraman became aggressive. An altercation ensued at which point he started screaming to the cops to arrest people for assaulting his camera."

Anyone here who's got experience was pro type cameras? Is close normal? In my experience, it is. It's a little unnerviong at first when you realize if you fuck up, it's preserved for history.

The guy with the sign should have been grateful. The shot could have been them doing it and then the sign and then a wide shot. IF and I dio say IF, if the guy acted up with the cameraman, then they fucked up royally. You wanted good publicity and you got bad publicity.

When you talk about free speech being denied, the screamer denied the media their free speech. If you're doing something in a public space, then ANYONE, the press, the police, POG, citizens, Indymedia or whoever has a right to cover it by photo, video or audio. If you want a protest and control the media, then I'm not sure I want people who take away the rights of others to prevail.

MORAL OF THE STORY:If you don't want it recorded, don't do it rather than supressing free speech. Free speech only works if everyone (including fox news) respects the concept.

Last question, did anyone touch the camera dude? Threaten him? A threat that makes a person fearful IS assault. Remember one thing, the guy's got a camera rolling, if there's any fault on your side, it's captured. So don't try and deny it.

BOTTOM LINE: The media had a choice of things to show today. The guy getting tasered and pissing himself in the gutter won out. That shoved what I believe would have been a great shot, like Martin Luther nailing his letter to the church door, onto the cutting room floor.

Not bad with the coverage, but it could have been better. Next time consider the above points and make your choice according to your values. What do you want, the message out or a testosterone high?

The Time Has Come
by Sal Paradise Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005 at 10:39 PM

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend today's rally but, judging from the pictures and articles on this site, the timed for an armed revolution is upon us. Only through armed guerilla confrontation can a democratic socialist revolution take place. Socialism is truly the way of the future and the only way to bring about the destruction and imperial slavery that has been wrought by the American brand of Capitalism. Strategic guerilla strikes in the Pittsburgh area will inspire other revolutionaries throughout the country and quickly build a new country founded upon the ideals of equality and strong support for the rights of workers.

Please respond and pledge your support of the overthrow of the capitalist cockroaches that have subverted the will of the people and destroyed the foundation of freedom that built this country.

by I fully support all actions now Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005 at 11:35 PM

i doubted the unannounced approach to this military recruitment shutdown plan before, but i am in full support now. Small groups of people can consistently provide non-stop action against the recruitment center, and make it unbearable for them to try marching poor people off to die for nothing. I plan on doing as much as i can from here on to shut it all down! I hope as many people as possible will do the same. Small cells should get together and begin frequent actions of all types. Lets show these pieces of shit how to shut the war machine down!

"fox news" clarification
by a witness Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005 at 11:50 PM

For clarification -- the camerman in question was wearing a "fox news" shirt, but was not directly working for him. Other TV crews identified him as a freelancer for Fox. His camera was not a pro camera like the other crews (DVCAM), but was a consumer-grade miniDV camera.

He also was aggressive and hostile towards the protestors from the beginning. I think it is likely that he wanted to provoke protestors so that he could give the cops an excuse to react violently.

"You got an old fashioned ass whippin for breaking the law, get over yourself."

What a stupid-ass piece of shit. The police who break the law openly and regardless of who's watching talking about protesters doing it. You spit on the face of our Founders and you do it happily. You filth.

Two Things: An Expression of Love
by Yokim Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 at 8:46 AM

Sal said, "the timed for an armed revolution is upon us."

What? Are you nuts? I will never show up to the revolution if there are plans to make it violent. There is a force of love that can move immeasurable things and I ask you Sal to find it within you.

witness said, "the camerman in question was wearing a "fox news" shirt, but was not directly working for him. Other TV crews identified him as a freelancer for Fox... If this is the case it is clear who the charges should be pressed against. This actor may have commited a serious crime by disrupting a peacable assembly, therefore causing thousands of taxpayers dollars to be wasted, all so he sould get the shot. If Fox has any moral integrity they should give no more business to this freelancer. Isn't Journalism supposed to be the objective coverage of events. It is very clear that there might have been some pre-empted conditions sought by this actor.

by evah Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 at 10:02 AM

How abysmal that "i" considers the employment of tasers on a woman on the ground an "old-fashioned ass kicking". i have been participating in grass roots work for peace and justice for over a decade, including one purposeful and peaceful arrest. Even when arrested, i did not experience as much violence from the police.

GO STEELERS! Now that i have your attention, pull your head out of your ass and do a google search on tasers and death, you prick.

That would be an excellent epitath on the graves of dismembered american terror troops in iraq

by Sal Paradise Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 at 8:44 PM

My intentions are not to create an armed revolutionary force for the sake of breaking the law, I simply feel that in order to prevent the same kinds of ass kickings by the agents of American fascist imperialism the revolution must follow the the suggestions of Alan Woods for the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela and be further radicalized by taking more decisive measures against the bourgeois oligarchy and imperialism.

Why shut them down?
by John Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 at 1:25 AM

Wouldn't the moral equivalency test be that the military is shutting YOU guys down? Why trample on an American's right for information from military recruiters, your mission is to "shut them down"? Protest is fine as long as it's peaceful, would you vote for someone for office that wanted to "shut them down" what happens when they come for you?

shut down Fox News next
by Ishmael Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 at 1:33 AM

great action.

we should have an action where we shut down fox news too. one week the military recruiters, next week fox. they are as complicit in the iraq war as the military recruiters. put them outta business for the day, don't let their news vehicles outta their parking lot or whatnot. nobody gets into work. and then call for a fax/call action where folks not wanting to do DA call and fax their offices the same day, preventing their coms from working.

great video
by Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 at 2:45 PM

I saw the video on the news Saturday night. I laughed and laughed.............
It was the best damn video I've ever seen!!!!! I taped it and watch it several times an hour. Watching that girl lying on the ground, screaming and squirming, just warms my heart! She got what she deserved. The only thing that would make the video better is if the cop was using a real gun instead of a taser!!!!

Silly socialists...

by 457547 Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 at 6:39 PM

How many freaking times does it have to be said, the recruitment center is supposed to be open on Saturday's. It's open EVERY saturday, 9am-2pm. I didn't even go to this event and I know that. Anyone who walks by the place in Oakland sees that. They put a giant thing of recruitment literture outside every Saturday. If they weren't open this past saturday it was because of the protest.

shut down shut down?!
by John Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 at 9:38 PM

Wow shut down the Army, shut down FOXNEWS, sounds like you guys are following the NAZI SS handbook on social realignment, I wonder who you vote for in 2008 will eventually do just that, shut down the army, shut down the media that disagrees, and then after that they come after you and shut you down. If you want to pretend your the guardians of liberty "thank a dissident" and all, why don't you let the army and the media do their job, if we are taking votes on who we should shut down then you never know you might be the ones we vote for on that one.

by Kaba Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at 8:17 AM

Tell you what. We will act the same way Fox News and the army acts. We won't say we will shut them down, we will just go about doing it.

Isn't it great that there are more people against the movement than are for it.... On you own web site! You people have no honor, no fortitude. As for the explination of the black clothes. B.S.- It won't stop pepper spray, and why all black, wouldn't any other color work? Next time, wear your true colors-yellow and don't cover your faces. Also, don't pretend to care about OUR fallen brothers and sisters in arms. Those are the same people who's memories you are stompping on with your Marxism. As for the Thomas Merton Freaks, so this is how a true devout person lives, by faxing black sheets anonymously to jam up peoples machines, to email people with hate mail and computer viruses. Yes, you are all indeed just in your cause. For all the anti-POG people, lets unite and show our support for all the true heros and rally against these heartless scum. Next protest they have we shall be right next to them in masses to show just how insignificant there pathetic lives truly are. Us veterans will be remebered and honored, you POG's will be known as a fly under our shoes, then quickly forgotten.

Thats a great comeback, very well thought out. I love how you call me ignorant when you can't even spell Afghanistan correctly. "Hey Afganistan Vet"...You showed me. You really put me in my place; just like your protests, fruitless. Is the recruiter open today? Yes. Is the war still going on? Yes. Will your pathetic cries stop or disuade it? No

by doesitmatter Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at 3:07 PM

Ignorant is someone who goes to fight in a war in a place that has never heard of before and doesn’t even know in which continent it is! Sounds familiar? And just because your stupid president told you so. And even he doesn’t know where the fuck Afghanistan is or how it is spelled!! I bet your daddy fought in Vietnam too and now he’s pride of you!! Can you find Vietnam on the map?

Sorry for taking up this space talking to that ridiculous fascist asshole.

by Support and Dissent Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at 5:38 PM

I do support your cause, but not the way you went about it. You didn't have a permit and assaulted the press. If you want to protest, do it peacefully. By acting out you piss off the people who support you and the people who are against you and the cause gets nowhere.

Unorganized Mass
by Rembrandt Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at 7:22 PM

This issue here was 1) this was an unorganized protest, there was nothing filed: Hence, these people were breaking the law.

If you want to protest, great, do it LEAGALLY! there were pleanty of examples of this in the 60's .. which apparantly most of these kids were not old enough to even remember us REMINISING about. Breaking the law to prove a point, isn't a protest, its rebellion. A sit in is a PASSIVE way to protest, that doesn't involve breaking the law - or threatening bodily harm on others. [In this instance, Army recruitment officers.]

I'm not sure about anyone here, but if 100 people dressed in black masks came marching down the street at MY place of work, I might feel threatened.

A person in a black mask is hiding their face because they expect to do something they don't want to get in trouble for, not because they are prepared to 'talk' about something they don't like.

So, all in all - this report is just another attempt at the generation that missed the 60's the first time around. Go back to woodstock IV and buy yourself another $8 bottled water. Don't protest something because you need a cause, find the cause first, then collect your facts, THEN protest.

Protesting an army recruitment office, *WHEN THERE IS NO DRAFT* is assassinine. The people who signed up, VOLUNTEERED! Unlike Vietnam where people were FORCED to join, these people CHOSE to join. Your protest, turned out to be an attempt to DENY people the freedom, instead of providing them one.

Can you handle the truth
by Kinghuey Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at 7:40 PM

I am very proud to live in a country that gives me the freedom and opportunity like no other country in the world. It makes me sad to see these people protesting a cause that they have no idea on what they are protesting. I have been to the Middle East as well as Korea and my purpose is very clear and the cause is just. How can you protest for something without actually being over there and seeing just how bad the situation these countries were in until we brought them their peace and their freedom. And how can you compare the actions of the Pittsburgh Police to the Nazi's. That is so very extreme but I guess you are use to your extreme ways. It makes me wonder if the actions that the POG has done on Saturday was strictly for media coverage and to gain some sympathy and support by provoking the incident. Though I am protecting your rights and freedom to say what you feel, you must also examine just exactly what you hope to gain by shutting down the army recruiting office. Do you actually think that you will stop the flow of recruits? Do you hope to stop the whole army in general? Where would that leave the defense of this country? In your hands, I think not. You have no plans except to gain some press coverage. I am very proud of the Pittsburgh Police for I know that they are on the side of Justice and you rebel against this, so who are the bad guys here. Like the saying goes, The Truth, You can't handle the Truth. MINDFREAKS

Subversive Activities in Pittsburgh
by Al Capp Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005 at 6:00 PM

If you Marxists are successful in overthrowing our government and destroying this nation, you will still have to deal with the Muslim terrorists that hate Marxists as much as they do Christians and Jews. They may be your allies in the common struggle against Western civilization, but they will turn on you if your subversion succeeds. As for me, I choose neither your heroes, such as Stalin, Mao, or Castro, nor Muslim heroes like the Ayatollahs of Iran or Bin Ladin. God bless America!

looking a bit suspicious
by Jbake Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005 at 8:24 PM

I dont know anyone else, but do the comments of these right wing trolls all look kinda uniform. The insults centering on Marxism, the God Bless Americas, etc. They all look pretty similar. Im beguinning to think that indymedia pittsburgh is being linked by some local rightist site that is telling them to put us "pinko hippie trash" in our "place" Either that or they are completely uncreative and rely on insults from the cold war.

Why not be peaceful?
by Englander Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005 at 8:01 AM

Firstly, let me say, I totally support the ideal of stopping the war. It is illegal. It is unjust. The Bush administration should not be allowed to commit such attrocities.

However, what you have done, intimidating people to get what you want is, in my opinion, wrong. Its against the point. Closing recruitment offices wont stop the war.

And to those claiming that "muslim terrorists will get you" and "muslim heroes such as Sadam Hussain and Osama Bin Laden, you are totally wrong. Not only muslims are terrorists. Barely any muslims are terrosrists. Bush claims that he went into Iraq to defend the USA. WHAT? Iraq had almost s**t all to do with 9/11.

As we in england know/have been shown. Pointless Wars are no way to react to bombings. War only increases the threat of them.

by Ron Thursday, Sep. 01, 2005 at 11:28 PM

"Oh and another thing, a lot of us aren't Marxists, we're anarchists.

Smash the State!"

Hahahah you guys are idiots. Anarchy? "Smash the system"? How old are we 14? How come you nerds didn't grow out of your teenage angst. There is a big difference between entertaining anarchy on a philosophical level, and quite another seeing a bunch of low-lifes protesting an army recruitment center in the name of it.

What is happening in Lousiania right now? ANARCHY BABY. Doesn't work so well, does it? Damn you people are hilarious. Maybe you guys should head down to New Orleans and live in your anarchy utopia.

LOL. Seriously, I love kids like you. Going to college and seeing kids so open-minded that their brain literally falls out the back of their heads is so rewarding.

Good Day!

by . Saturday, Sep. 03, 2005 at 12:47 PM

Ron, baby- you got it all wrong man. You think that the word anarchy means 'chaos' or 'without order'. That's understandable because the word has certainly been used as such over the past century and a half, but it originally comes from the Greek 'an archos', or 'without hierarchy'. Or better yet, 'without (illegitimate) authority'. You also assume that what's happening in New Orleans right now is anarchy, what the press has described as a 'vacuum of authority'. The aftermath of hurricane Katrina is NOT an anarchal society- that my friend is a damn riot. The only thing approaching anarchism is the massive outpouring of sympathy and donations from good citizens like yourself. You see Ron, for a society to work without people sitting on top and getting paid to tell you what to do, you have to assume that people are basically good, and that they do good things for their friends, family and community. You could cite the human tragedy in the South as evidence against an anarchal society, but I cite the national, and international relief effort as evidence that solidarity and community can in fact function at the macro level. And Ron, don't be fooled into believing that an anarchal society is one without rules or order- that's just buying into the hype. I'm guessing by your statements that you probably don't really have a clue about 'entertaining anarchy on a philosophical level'. Otherwise, you would have quickly recognized why 'a bunch of low-lifes protesting an army recruitment center' is truly in the spirit of anarchism. If you'd like to read a few primary sources on anarchy (or any other political or socio-economic stance) I've got a whole damn library you could browse. It's good to read real books sometimes Ron, and form your own opinions. Otherwise you're just regurgitating other people's.

What if we invaded a country under false pretenses; occupied it; began building huge, permanent military bases on its territory; let its capital and provincial cities be looted; disbanded its military; provided no services essential to modern life; couldn't even produce oil for gas tanks in an oil-rich land; bombed some of its cities, destroyed parts or all of others; put tens of thousands of its inhabitants in U.S. military-controlled jails (where prisoners would be subjected to barbaric tortures and humiliations); provided next to no jobs; opened the economy to every kind of depredation; set foreign corporations to loot the country; invited in tens of thousands of private "security contractors," heavily armed and under no legal constraints; and then asked large numbers of Iraqis, desperate for jobs that could be found nowhere else, to join a new "Iraqi" military force meant to defend a "government" that could hardly leave an American fortified enclave in its own capital.

More than 100,000 Iraqi civilians, most of them innocent women and children have been killed and continue to be killed

The U.S. is pitting Iraqis against each other and creating a climate of fear.In this regard, the creation, arming and financing of 'ethnic militias' and death squads by U.S. forces is designed to create ethnic divisions and provoke sectarian violence among Iraqis.

These US sponsored militia groups are:

The Kurdish Peshmerga whose leaders supported the U.S. invasion and Occupation.
The Iranian-trained Badr Brigades,
The armed wing of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) led by Ibrahim Al-Jaaferi of the Da’wa party,
The INC militia of Ahmed Chalabi, and the INA militia of Iyad Allawi.

All these groups are involved in terrorist activities against Iraqi civilians. The latter three groups, entered Iraq on the back of U.S. tanks, without valid Iraqi citizenship papers.

Together with the Peshmerga, Israeli Mossad agents and U.S. forces, the militia groups went on systematic killings of thousands of prominent Iraqi academics, scientists, politicians and religious leaders. They also participated in the atrocity and total destruction of Fallujah, which is depicted as "the storming of Fallujah" in most mainstream media. The city was completely destroyed and still a ‘no go zone’ for Iraqis. Other Iraqi towns and cities have not escaped this deliberate destruction.

Mr. Harith Al-Dhari, the head of the AMS, publicly blamed the Badr Brigades for the recent spate of killings of Sunni Muslim clerics in the country. "The parties that are behind the campaign of killings of preachers of mosques and worshippers are…the Badr Brigades.

The Bush Administration is not only supporting this murderous policy, it introduced the "El Salvador option" of murdering Iraqi dissidents through the appointment John Negroponte as U.S. Ambassador to Iraq.

All resistance movements have been required to respond with armed resistance to defend against military aggression and occupation. Iraq is not different.

Violent resistance arises from violent military occupation. Without popular support, which is the basis of any national resistance movement, the Iraqi Resistance would not be able to operate. After two years of U.S. brutality and violence, Iraqi Resistance groups have been able to integrate, modify their methods and fight effectively against the biggest military machine in history.

..killed 'accidentally'. And the total destruction of the vibrant city of Fallujah, and the killing of more than 6,000 innocent civilians, using napalm bombs deliberately designed to kill many civilians in densely populated areas, is just by 'accident'. The rate of civilian deaths in Iraq under U.S. Occupation is far greater than anything perpetrated by the regime of Saddam Hussein.

U.S. forces are provided with 'immunity' from prosecution, making it very easy for them to kill Iraqis with institutionalized impunity, as if Iraqis were not even human beings.

It should be borne in mind that the U.S. 'is the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today', and all acts of violence and destruction in Iraq have occurred under the radar of U.S. forces. The April 19, 2005 demonstration of more than 300,000 Iraqis in Baghdad alone (the largest in Iraq for many decades), jointly organized by the Al-Sadr movement and the Association of Muslim Scholars, showed that all Iraqis are united against the US Occupation and terrorism.

To defend their country, the Iraqi people have a legitimate right to resist, and use all forms of resistance to this war and occupation. Any resistance to the current imperial aggression is legitimate resistance.

Poison gas in Iraq: weaponized uranium gas
by Che Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 12:09 PM

Weaponized Uranium Oxide Gas, when used properly, packs a killing trail up to a truly majestic 4.5 billion years. In fact, that pretty well qualifies as 'forever' in most American classrooms studying 'Total Worldwide Domination Theory'.

This so-called Depleted Uranium is what the American government is using to make sniper bullets, tank shells, bombs, and cruise missiles. And, the American government just ordered some more depleted uranium weapons. It only takes a few months to rearm.

The 70-ton 1,500-HP workhorse M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank delivers up to eight pounds of poisonous uranium oxide gas per high velocity shell fired.

What is weaponized uranium oxide gas? It's any high velocity bullet or shell, any High Explosive Bomb or missile made with uranium metal. The uranium components turn into uranium oxide gas after the high velocity bullet or shell penetrates anything solid and explodes, as much as 80 percent of it ignites, burns, and aerosolizes into tiny, tiny radioactive pieces and floats in the air as a gas, blown about by the wind. They can stay airborne for years and be re-suspended for years, over and over again.
Bush stated that the International Criminal Court's jurisdiction does not apply to America's leaders or the military. Result: 4 million pounds of uranium munitions poisoned Iraq with radioactive gas and dust, rendering large parts of it uninhabitable. We Americans have already successfully killed Iraqis as yet unborn with radiation-induced birth defects and cancers.

Even though poisonous uranium gas sickens and kills their own troops, the officer corps goes along with it as necessary. Security Advisor Henry Kissinger, referred pointedly to military men as 'dumb, stupid animals to be used' as pawns for foreign policy.

Bush the Butcher
by Bush Gang of Criminals Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 12:11 PM

Many years and many more troops are the best that even the most optimistic of 'unnamed' American officials are willing to venture it would take to 'stabilize' Iraq. By stable, they mean winning enough class peace to plunder Iraq’s vast resources.

But the insurgency has claimed the lives of an estimated hundreds of mercenaries and contractors working for the Pentagon. As a result, a big chunk of those billions of dollars earmarked to build the infrastructure—necessary, for example, to funnel out Iraq’s vast oil reserves—is being channeled instead into military 'security.'

For the people of Iraq, after enduring two years of life under occupation, most of the 27-million-strong population is still without adequate electricity, sewage disposal, clean water or other essential services.

Conditions like these, and the military boot heel of the occupation, drive the Iraqi people's determination to resist the occupation.

The Torture and the Lies Continue

Bush = Osama
by Osama Bin Bush Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 12:20 PM

The US government gave the slave trade a boost by offering money for Al Qaida and Talaban fighters. Afghan and Pakistani war lords simply rounded up people who looked Arab or foreign and sold them to the Americans as captured fighters. The "fighters" included relief workers, refugees, and Arab businessmen.

in March, 2002, leaflets and broadcasts from helicopters in Afghanistan enticed Afghans to "Hand over the Arabs and feed your families for a lifetime."

The Bush administration has proven itself to be utterly psychotic in the use of power. And it keeps demanding more power, including the suspension of our civil liberties in order to better fight "terrorism."

Aside from September 11 (which the U.S. government planned and created), the only terrorism the US has experienced is the terrorism Bush created by invading Iraq. Why should the worried about Osama bin Laden when the moronic Bush administration is so adept at creating terrorism?

Bush = Nazi
by Fuhrer Bush Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 12:23 PM

The United States is now approaching Hitleresque proportions in its victimization of and disregard for civilians. In October 1941, the Nazis launched 'Operation Punishment' to wipe out the resistance in Yugoslavia, including massive reprisal massacres of civilians in central Serbia.

Carpet bombing cities (Fallujah), targeting ambulances and hospital staff, rounding up 'men of military age' and disappearing them into gulags like Abu Ghraib, denying electricity and water (and destroying critical civilian infrastructure) are crimes against humanity not less severe than what the Nazis did and will certainly result in a more determined and violent resistance.

Bush, Cheney & Crew are simultaneously demanding Syria, Iran, and other countries be 'dealt with,' that is to say bombed and their citizens subjected to brutal practices illegal under the Geneva Convention. Sooner or later the rest of the world will put an end to this murderous insanity.

Some day Bush and Cheney and the Strausscons will be held to account for their Nazi-like war crimes.

Seymour Hersh of the New Yorker provided photographs from US troops in an interview on May 11, 2005 (...) They show a group of U.S. soldiers planting weapons -- the same weapon, in fact -- in front of killed, wounded, and captured Iraqi kids...

These thick as pigsh*t murdering stormtroopers thieving eurasian oil for their crusader president are slaughtering their way across an entire nation - in a "pre-emptive strike". The US has a policy of deliberately killing innocents to provoke revenge (which is only honourable), so that they can slaughter more Iraqis with their overwhelming military firepower.

Bush the Butcher
by Che Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 8:30 PM

On July 2, 2003, George W. Bush uttered the words, "Bring 'em on"

On that day, only 65 American troops had been killed since May, when George W. Bush was flown onto the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln to deliver a victory speech, backgrounded by a glaring sign that stated "Mission Accomplished."

Since then no mission has been accomplished, and the Iraqi resistance apparently accepted his challenge to "Bring 'em on."

Over 1,940 American corpses who used to be fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, grandsons and grand-daughters, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors, have been flown out of Iraq. Most estimates are that more than 15,000 Americans have been wounded, many severely. And the human cost for Iraqis themselves – death, grief, and pain – is currently incalculable but certainly measured in the hundreds of thousands.

It's easy to talk trash from the White House, where its chief resident has attended one funeral while in office – that of the Pope. No dead soldier’s family has had him cross its threshold.

A mean, punitive US administration, made up of Bush’s vile-tempered coterie, refers to this type of viciousness as "strength." Nasty vicious bureaucrats, who kiss-up and kick-down.

The notion that a group this criminal can be compelled to transform the occupation of Iraq into anything except what it is – a mission of bald conquest and a catalyst for social disorder and civil war – is the expectation that a pig will lose its appetite for table scraps.

Most Iraqis, responding to independent polls, have said that the occupation is the biggest cause of the violence that wracks Iraq, and that they want to see the occupation ended immediately.

The Harring Report

"The Bush Butcher’s Bill: Officially, 80 US Military Deaths in Iraq from 1 through 21 May, 2005 – Official Total of 1,831 US Dead to date (and rising)

U.S. Military Personnel who died in German hospitals or en route to German hospitals have not previously been counted. They total about 6,210 as of 1 January, 2005. The ongoing, underreporting of the dead in Iraq, is not accurate. The DoD is deliberately reducing the figures. A review of many foreign news sites show that actual deaths are far higher than the newly reduced ones. Iraqi civilian casualties are never reported but International Red Cross, Red Crescent and UN figures indicate that as of 1 January 2005, the numbers are just under 100,000.

There is excellent reason to believe that the Department of Defense is deliberately not reporting a significant number of the dead in Iraq. We have received copies of manifests from the MATS that show far more bodies shipped into Dover AFP than are reported officially. The educated rumor is that the actual death toll is in excess of 7,000. Given the officially acknowledged number of over 15,000 seriously wounded, this elevated death toll is far more realistic than the current 1,400+ now being officially published.

In addition to the evident falsification of the death rolls, at least 5,500 American military personnel have deserted, most in Ireland but more have escaped to Canada and other European countries, none of whom are inclined to cooperate with vengeful American authorities.

This means that of the 158,000 U.S. military shipped to Iraq, 26,000 either deserted, were killed or seriously wounded. The DoD lists currently being very quietly circulated indicate almost 9,000 dead, over 16,000 seriously wounded"

"The government gets away with these huge lies because they claim, falsely, that only soldiers actually killed on the ground in Iraq are reported. The dying and critically wounded are listed as en route to military hospitals outside of the country and not reported on the daily postings. Anyone who dies just as the transport takes off from the Baghdad airport is not listed and neither are those who die in the US military hospitals. Their families are certainly notified that their son, husband, brother or lover was dead and the bodies, or what is left of them (refrigeration is very bad in Iraq what with constant power outages) are shipped home, to Dover AFB. You ought to realize that President Bush personally ordered that no pictures be taken of the coffined and flag-draped dead under any circumstances. He claims that this is to comfort the bereaved relatives but is designed to keep the huge number of arriving bodies secret. Any civilian, or military personnel, taking pictures will be jailed at once and prosecuted. Bush has never attended any kind of a memorial service for his dead soldiers and never will. He is terrified some parent might curse him in front of the press or, worse, attack him. As Bush is a coward and in denial, this is not a surprise."

The US has been groveling for the Iraqi resistance to hold meetings with them in the hopes they will accept Iraq's complete surrender and an unchallenged acceptance by all Iraqi citizens to the theft of their resources, more control of the Iraq for Bush the Butcher's Western corporate mafias aided by corporate mercenaries and Kurdish and Persian gangs and for the use of Iraq as a platform to attack other Muslim nations..

The legitimate Iraqi resistance (or average iraqi citizen) responds:

- We had a nation, which you have destroyed, and an army which you have thrown out on the streets, and daily resources which you have strained. Will you return to us our country, army and weapons?

- You and your Bush father who have dropped every kind of weapon in your arsenal on us, including a million depleted uranium shells, poisoned the land of god to kill our children for a million years, will you clean up our land for us? Will you cure your 106,000 soldiers who are infected with your Desert storm syndrome?

- You and your Bush father who slaughtered over one million Iraqis in the Sanctions since 1991 and 200,000 innocents with your occupation, will you bring them to life again?

- You who have destroyed our mosques, killed the praying people, the religious men, destroyed our churches, desecrated the holy places, torn up the holy books, do you know of any way which can erase these crimes? For you who do not have a religion, not even true Christian by any standard of Christianity?

- You who destroyed our national projects and industry, our refineries, the sources of our survival and well being, that cost us billions of dollars to construct. Will you revive them?

- You who have stolen our oil for two years, will you return those amounts?

- You who stole over 20 billion dollars from our banks will you give this back?

- You who have collaborated with Iran to give you the religious gangs which destroyed our nation, murdered our people and stole what our people had left, will you hand the gangs over to us so we can punish them?

- You who have sent those who stole 20 thousand pieces of artifacts of our history, our memory, will you return them unharmed?

- You have destroyed Universities, burned libraries, killed scientists, will you rebuild all of it and give life to the scientists and books?

- You who have assembled pyramids of our nude prisoners and sons, will you agree that we can do the same to your officers and march them through the streets to the prisons nude without their insignia?

- You who have let loose your coward dogs to rape the woman prisoners you have, would you like us to do the same to your women in uniform?

- You who have sent our people rotten, expired, and unfit food for human consumption, wheat with powdered steel, to eradicate our people slowly and gradually, would you accept buying this type of food from us and selling it to poison your own people?

- Women you have widowed, children you have orphaned, men you have buried, resources you have dried up, water you have infected, the electric current you have cut on our people. And for all the dirty tricks in the book you have utilized to kill us, will you, after doing all of this, ask the Security Council to put you on trial for war crimes?

What's Behind the London Attacks?
by Che Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 9:50 PM

Only one word springs to mind about the bombings that claimed the lives of dozens of Londoners – convenient.

Governments with skeletons in their closets have a great deal to gain from a national tragedy bolstered by "terrorism."

Despite American and British involvement in the Middle East birthing wave after wave of rebel forces, the Bush doctrine can now be justified.

the attack on London was a false-flag operation designed to enrage Western "civilization" against the Middle East. Why? Because there is no reason for "terrorist" groups to attack England. As recently as this week, the Ministry of Defense announced that plans were being drafted that would pull British armed forces from the quagmires in Iraq and Afghanistan. With the British effectively admitting they're throwing in the towel, the only motivation to stay could come from an attack that compels the forces to stay and fight "global terrorism."

The attack only benefits empires desperate to maintain a foothold in the Middle East without further eroding public opinion.

No longer does the US and Britain need to concern themselves with two world leaders (who have spawned more worldwide terrorism than any fanatical religious organization) going unquestioned in their lies that started a war.

They can cast off their sluggish economies, lack of freedoms and pitiful descent into draconian law. Terror is on the rise.

Everything is the same as the "911" debacle, right down to the previously unheard of Islamic group (The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe? Are you kidding me?) taking credit – even though the translation falls apart under scrutiny and the Q'uran is improperly cited.

Considering the ONLY Al Qaeda cell to ever be uncovered in England was a front for the Mossad, you'd think the perpetrators could at least come up with a clever new booga-booga name to grab headlines. Their arrogance is startling.

As is the ever-present Israeli connection a staple among false flag operations. Before the London attacks, the Israeli Embassy in London was notified an attack was forthcoming. As a result, former Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu remained in his hotel room rather than head towards a nearby hotel where he was to address an economic summit.

The embassy denies it had any prior knowledge, of course, but the story has changed dramatically in the process. If, as they say, Netanyahu was not warned, how did he know to stay in his room? How did he know the danger was so severe that he dare not venture out of the hotel?

Oops! The story's changed again – here Netanyahu says that British police had warned the Israelis (but not the rest of the city?) of a pending attack. Scotland Yard denies this; Israel's reply was to say Netanyahu received his warning after the first blast. How? It was initially reported as a power surge for hours. What is being hidden here? And why isn't there an investigation into these obvious discrepancies?

Please don't Protest and Offend Me
by Right Wing Bush Bootlickers and Chickenhawks Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 10:05 PM

A millionaire Saudi businessman finances, with US support, a war of liberation from the Soviet occupiers of Afghanistan, but then one day according to the propaganda story, decides that US support for the regime that has made him and his family wealthy beyond measure, is all of a sudden, the enemy. This long time asset of US and British capital becomes, almost overnight (thanks to the assistance of the corporate/state owned media), evil personified. His previous connections to the US are airbrushed out of history.

He is now outside of history, a spontaneous creation who is able to come and go at will and ultimately, he is discarded as surplus, his services are no longer required.

His former opportunist friends and allies, confronted with a crisis of the over-accumulation of capital, brought about by the overthrow of the 'evil empire' and economic policies of the previous decades, needs a new 'enemy' with which to justify its actions and to further its piratical aims. Thus is born 'al-Quaeda' and the 'international terror network'.

Not coincidentally, the Project for the New American Century which sees the US as the predominate military/political force of the 21st century, is spawned at the same time.

Foreign oppression and aggression must perforce be accompanied by increasing repression at home.

Then conveniently, along comes 9/11, a 'Pearl Harbour' re-run, a convenient hitching post for a new Horse of the Apocalypse that in turn is used to ride rough-shod over rights and liberties and to justify the assault on the planet. But any assault by the rich and powerful must first win the backing of its domestic populations first through fear and ultimately through the force of 'law'.

Please don't Protest and Offend Me
by Right Wing Bush Bootlickers and Chickenhawks Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 10:36 PM

Enter the next actor in the run-up to the present situation, Saddam Hussein, yet another one-time asset of the CIA and the corporate thugs. Hired to assassinate his popular opponent, an enemy of capital who threatened to nationalize Iraq's oil, Saddam then becomes a pawn in the game of international oil/power politics used to maintain both Iran and Iraq in a perpetual war that took the lives of millions.

Like all who failed to perceive the real nature of the hand that first feeds before it strikes, Saddam Hussein too became a victim of a much larger game and as with the erstwhile 'freedom fighters' of Afghanistan, he became in turn a victim of the cynical manipulations of US and British governments who care nothing for the lives of either Iraqis or their own citizens.

These criminal governments first deliberately starved Iraq into submitting, then covertly bombed it back into the stone age, and finally, in the coup de grace, 'liberated' it in the final act of state terrorism that contravenes every international law and treaty signed over the past century.

In spite of their campaign that has failed to terrorise citizens into accepting the lies of its leaders and failed miserably to suppress the liberation struggle of the Iraqi people, it is necessary to ratchet up the fear by making it real so that the only answer is increased repression.

The issue is not the British or US state's response to terror since the terror is of their own making, not only the terror they have rained down on the innocent (94% of all the casualties in Iraq are civilian, most under the age of 25) but the use of terror at home, whether via their proxies or those of their former employees.

So Bush and his poodle Blair's rabid frothing at the mouth about criminalising those who "attack...the values of the West" is not only hyperbole but total hypocrisy.

Afghanistan Genocide
by US Terrorist Military Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 10:40 PM

When the United States and Britain bombed Kabul, a city of more than two million people, and at least three other cities—Kandahar, Herat, and Jalalabad—they guaranteed that innocent Afghans would lose their lives. These Afghans did not fly planes into the World Trade towers or the Pentagon.

They did nothing to deserve death....

Over 4000 people were killed during the bombing of Afghanistan from October 07, 2001 to March 2001. There were reports of whole villages with populations of 300 or more being completely wiped out. There are countless eyewitness survivors' descriptions of what happened, with no coverage in the U.S. media. It is not discussed that more people died in Afghanistan than in the 9/11 attacks. Afghanistan is worse off than it was before. This is outrageous because the country was considered a disaster area by many aid groups before the war. All the US did was to take an extremely bad situation and make it 100 times as bad.

The very same conditions that were stated to cause terrorism prevail again in Afghanistan. Poverty, starvation, death of children, and occupation by a foreign force. The Taliban have returned, the warlords are still fighting and killing, and drugs flow freely.

In 1996, Zalmay Khalilzad, lobbyist for Unocal (Union Oil Company of California) said, "based on recent conversations with Afghans, including various Taliban factions and Pakistanis, I am confident that they would welcome an American reengagement. The Taliban does not practice the anti-U.S. style of fundamentalism practiced by Iran, it is closer to the Saudi model. The group upholds a mix of traditional Pashtun values and an orthodox interpretation of Islam."

Following a letter of intent signed between the Taliban and Bridas Oil of Argentina for the construction of a pipeline from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to the Indian Ocean, Khalilzad went before the U.S. Congress and demanded the toppling of the Taliban.

It was at this time that U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright traveled to the Central Asian Republics with a promise of financial aid in exchange for the use of forward bases from which to attack Afghanistan.

The Clinton and Bush administrations ignored overtures from Taliban’s Foreign Minister Wakhil Ahmad Mutawakhil regarding the handing over of Osama bin Laden to American authorities and the ominous warning just before 9/11. A Bush administration official said to the Taliban "either you accept our carpet of gold, or we'll carpet you with bombs"

Third US Marine embraces Islam in al-Fallujah, takes name Mujahid Muhammad.

Shaykh Ahmad Mahmud, an Imam and preacher in a mosque in al-Fallujah, announced on Wednesday night that a US Marine had announced that he had embraced Islam. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Shaykh Ahmad Mahmud as saying that the US Marine, George Douglas, declared his Islam in the al-Hadrah mosque in the middle of al-Fallujah.

Shaykh Mahmud told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that the religious scholars of al-Fallujah gave the Marine the name Muhammad Douglas, but the soldier asked to take the compound name of Mujahid Muhammad, and he asked the scholars for permission to come into the mosque to pray.

The Shaykh said that a number of the young men then showed the Muslim soldier where to wash and make the ritual ablution before prayer, after which he came into the mosque and recited the Muslim profession of faith in God and His Prophet a second time before the worshippers.

Shaykh Mahmud said that the soldier Mujahid Muhammad, is the third US soldier to embrace Islam during this period in al-Fallujah, noting that Mujahid resolved to end his military service by sending a request to the American occupation forces in al-Fallujah. He said that the US military would fulfill his request because from now on they would view him as loyal to the people of al-Fallujah.

A number of religious scholars in the city confirmed the news of Mujahid Muhammad’s conversion, as did many worshippers who were in the mosque and witnessed the Marine Mujahid Muhammad’s profession of faith in God and His Messenger Muhammad in the Arabic language.

Iraq's former intelligence services have gone underground. They have infiltrated the U.S.-led Iraqi regime and its security forces. As in Vietnam, every U.S. military operation is telegraphed well in advance to the resistance by double agents.

As anti-war sentiment grows in America, Iraqis serving the U.S. occupation are hedging their bets by collaborating with the resistance -- a pattern common in all recent colonial wars.

When asked what he would say to Mr. Bush if he had the chance to speak to him, Abdul Henderson, a corporal in the Marines who served in Iraq from March until May, 2003, took a deep breath and said, "It would be two hits - me hitting him and him hitting the floor.

Camilo Mejia, an army staff sergeant who was sentenced to a year in military prison in May, 2004 for refusing to return to Iraq after being home on leave, talks openly about what he did there:

"What it all comes down to is redemption for what was done there. I was turning ambulances away from going to hospitals, I killed civilians, I tortured guys and I'm ashamed of that. Once you are there, it has nothing to do with politics - it has to do with you as an individual being there and killing people for no reason. There is no purpose, and now I'm sick at myself for doing these things. I kept telling myself I was there for my buddies. It was a weak reasoning - because I still shut my mouth and did my job."

"I didn't want to kill another soul for no reason. That's it," adds Henderson, "We were firing into small towns - you see people just running, cars going, guys falling off bikes - it was just sad. You just sit there and look through your binos and see things blowing up, and you think, man they have no water, living in the third world, and we're just bombing them to hell. Blowing up buildings, shrapnel tearing people to shreds."

"There seem to be two developments in Iraq that are "more than eerily Vietnam speak."

The first is the increasing use of bigger and better mines: bundled 155mm artillery shells, 500lb aircraft bombs, shaped charges, and clever booby traps to kill the mine clearers.

All of that is old hat dating back through Vietnam and at least to WWII, but the insurgents seem to be able to plant their mines without either being detected by our surveillance (e.g., drone aircraft) or being reported to the police by the local people.

That is a bad sign, and means we control neither the terrain nor the populace.

In March 2003, Americans were told the mission was to disarm the regime of Saddam Hussein of “weapons of mass destruction”, stop its support for international terrorism and “liberate” the Iraqi people from tyranny.

All these claims have proven false. There were no WMDs and Iraq had no links with Al Qaeda. As for “liberation”, so far as many as 100,000 Iraqis have lost their lives due to the US-led invasion and occupation and the country has been devastated. For millions of ordinary people, the war has brought rampant shortages, disease, malnutrition, poverty, crime and the constant risk of death or injury.

After the discrediting of the original propaganda, Washington has justified the war on the grounds it is bringing democracy to the Iraqi people. This is just as false. The US exerts direct control over the Iraqi government’s armed forces and behind-the-scenes control over the economy, including the plans to sell off the country’s oil industry to American corporate interests. The Shiite fundamentalist-led government installed by the occupation is accused of operating death squads against its political opponents and suppressing the civil liberties of minorities and women.

American soldiers are not dying for a noble cause. They are the cannon fodder in a criminal, imperialist mission that involves an indefinite colonial war of repression in Iraq. The longer the war grinds on, the more the Bush administration and the Pentagon have deployed part-time National Guardsmen and reservists to fill the ranks of the occupation force, flinging them into harms way, often without adequate training and substandard equipment. The contempt of the US elite for the lives of the Iraqi people is matched by their contempt for the lives of American working class youth.

Black Sabbath - War Pigs

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds, oh lord yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor
Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'till their judgement day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness, world stops turning
As the war machine keeps burning
No more war pigs of the power
Hand of god has struck the hour
Day of judgement, god is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings

American Resistance Hero
by Cindy Sheehan Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 11:28 PM

Cindy Sheehan, camped outside President Bush's Crawford ranch demanding to see him, said that a private meeting with President Bush last year was offensive, Bush didn't even know her dead son's name, giving her an attitude of 'Let's get on with it, let's get somebody honored here'.

According to Cindy: "He acted like it was a party. He came in very jovial, like we should be happy with that. Our son died for the president's misguided policies. He first got there, he walked in and said, "So who are were honoring today?" After a while Bush asked "who are you again, mom?'
So anyway, he went up to my oldest daughter, I keep calling her my oldest daughter but she's actually my oldest child now, and he said, "So who are you to the loved one?" And Carly goes, "Casey was my brother." And George Bush says, "I wish I could bring your loved one back, to fill the hole in your heart." And Carly said, "Yeah, so do we." And Bush said, "I'm sure you do," and he gave her a dirty look and turned away from her.

Sheehan said people from places like North Carolina, Oregon and all parts of Texas are coming to Crawford to join her. She credited the Internet, saying without it, "nobody would know what was really going on." The "mainstream media is a propaganda tool for the government," she said. "Without the Internet we would be a fascist state."

Bill O'Reilly's response--

"I think Mrs. Sheehan bears some responsibility for this [publicity] and also for the responsibility for the other American families who lost sons and daughters in Iraq who feel this kind of behavior borders on treasonous.", also commented that Cindy was a "fipflopping tool of the left".

Someone asked whether she was going to be on Bill O'Reilly's show since it had called her and invited her on.

Cindy decided she's "not going to dignify his show" with her presence, and that O'Reilly's an "obscenity to the truth and an obscenity to humanity."

After Casey's death, Cindy Sheehan was invited to the White House for a visit with Mr. Bush in June of 2004. Her first memory of Bush's appearance that day was when he walked into the room and said in a loud, bluff voice, "Who we'all honorin' today?"

"His mouth kept moving," Sheehan later recalled of her meeting with Bush, "but there was nothing in his eyes or anything else about him that showed me he really cared or had any real compassion at all. This is a human being totally disconnected from humanity and reality. His eyes were empty, hollow shells." Bush called her "Ma" or "Mom" throughout the whole meeting, and never got around to learning her name.

"The whole meeting was simply bizarre and disgusting," Sheehan said later. "designed to intimidate instead of providing compassion. He didn't even know our names. I just couldn't believe this was happening. It was so surreal and bizarre. Later I met with some of the other fifteen or sixteen families who were at the White House the same day and, sure enough, they all felt the same way I did."

by Bush Wackos Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 11:44 PM

On October 10, 2003, Pat Robertson suggested that the State Department be incinerated with a nuclear weapon. He said this in an interview with Joel Mowbray, about his book, 'Dangerous Diplomacy. How the State Department Threatens American Security.'

The remark was seconded by Mowbray, and prompted an angry protest from the State Department, whose spokesman called Robertson’s comment suggesting its Foggy Bottom headquarters be blown up with a nuclear weapon "despicable." But there was no reaction from the Bush White House, and no reaction from either Ashcroft or Ridge.

The evangelist said after he read Mowbray's book, he thought, "If I could just get a nuclear device inside Foggy Bottom [Washington neighborhood where the State Department’s building is located], I think that's the answer," Robertson declared. "I mean, you get through this, and you say, 'We've got to blow that thing up.'"

Roberson made a similar comment in June, declaring, "Maybe we need a very small nuke thrown off on Foggy Bottom to shake things up like Newt Gingrich wants to do."

Robertson gave $10,000 to Ashcroft’s political action committee in 1998. He played a major role in swinging the Republican presidential nomination to Bush in 2000.

On the issue of the Middle East, elements of the Christian fundamentalist right led by Robertson promote what they call a "one-state solution" based on the Israeli annexation of all the occupied territories and the expulsion of the Palestinians. Invoking biblical prophesy linking a "Greater Israel" to the second coming of Christ, they have repeatedly mobilized their supporters against even the mildest criticism by the administration of the wholesale state terror unleashed by Ariel Sharon on the Palestinians.

Hero of the Americas
by Hugo Chavez Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 11:48 PM

At the Forum, President Chavez listed attempts by the US to drive him out of power. "But we resisted, and now have gone on the offensive.

For instance, we recovered our oil industry... In 2004, from the oil industry budget we utilized $4 billion in social investments, education, health, micro-credits, scholarships, and housing, aimed at the poorest of the poor, what neoliberals call waste of money. But that is not a waste of money because it is aimed at empowering the poor so that they can defeat poverty. He added that "that money before stayed out of Venezuela or just benefited the rich."

"Privatization is a neoliberal and imperialist plan. Health can’t be privatized because it is a fundamental human right, nor can education, water, electricity and other public services. They can’t be surrendered to private capital that denies the people their rights."

Chavez highlighted the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas, a proposal made by Venezuela in opposition to the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas (FTAA), and which emphasizes social and cultural exchanges above profit-based economic deals. "We can’t wait for a sustained economic growth of 10 years in order to start reducing poverty through the trickledown effect, as the neoliberal economic theories propose."

He praised the cooperation with Cuba, which, along with several Central American countries, receives Venezuelan oil at below market prices, in exchange for assistance in healthcare, education, agriculture and other areas. He highlighted that about 20.000 Cuban doctors work in Venezuela at free medical clinics in poor neighborhoods, and that Venezuela has used a Cuban literacy method approved by UNESCO that has allowed more than 1.3 million Venezuelans learn how to read and write. He said Venezuela is using Cuban vaccines, which now allow poor children to be vaccinated against diseases such as hepatitis."

President Chavez criticized media distortions of alleged plans by him Castro to "spread Communism" in the Americas, "overthrow governments" and set up guerrillas', he said "after 10 years it seems like we haven’t been very successful."

"Cuba has its own profile and Venezuela has its own, and we have respect for each other, but we celebrate accords and advance together for the interest of our peoples." He said that any aggression from the U.S. against either country will have to confront all the Latin American countries, "because we are united in spirit from Mexico down to the Patagonia."

Chavez said U.S.-Venezuela political relations are unhealthy because of "permanent aggressions from there". He criticized U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice who recently asserted that Chavez was "a negative force in the region." He said those relations will stay unhealthy as long as the U.S. continues its policies of aggression. "The most negative force in the world today is the government of the United States," he said.
Look at Vietnam, look at Iraq and Cuba resisting, and now look at Venezuela." In reference to the recommendations of some of his close advisors, he said that "some people say that we cannot say nor do anything that can irritate those in Washington." He repeated the words of Argentine independence hero José de San Martin "let’s be free without caring about anyone else says."

"When imperialism feels weak, it resorts to brute force. The attacks on Venezuela are a sign of weakness, ideological weakness. Nowadays almost nobody defends neoliberalism."

"Just look at the internal repression inside the United States, the Patriot Act, which is a repressive law against U.S. citizens. They have put in jail a group of journalists for not revealing their sources. They won’t allow them to take pictures of the bodies of the dead soldiers, many of them Latinos, coming from Iraq. Those are signs of Goliath’s weaknesses."

"The south also exists... the future of the north depends on the south. If we don’t make that better world possible, if we fail, and through the rifles of the U.S. Marines, and through Mr. Bush’s murderous bombs, if there is no coincidence and organization necessary in the south to resist the offensive of neo-imperialism, and the Bush doctrine is imposed upon the world, the world will be destroyed," he said.

Chavez warned of drastic global weather changes that would bring catastrophic events if no action is taken soon, in reference to uncontrolled or little regulated industrial activity. Chavez added that perhaps before those drastic changes take place, there will be rebellions everywhere "because the peoples are not going to accept in peace impositions such as neoliberalism or such as colonialism."

He said all empires come to an end. "One day the decay inside U.S. imperialism will end up toppling it, and the great people of Martin Luther King will be set free. The great people of the United States are our brothers, my salute to them." "We must start talking again about equality. The U.S. government talks about freedom and liberty, but never about equality. "They are not interested in equality. This is a distorted concept of liberty. The U.S. people, with whom we share dreams and ideals, must free themselves... A country of heroes, dreamers, and fighters, the people of Martin Luther King, and Cesar Chavez."

"Everyday I become more convinced, there is no doubt in my mind, and as many intellectuals have said, that it is necessary to transcend capitalism. But I’m also convinced that it is possible to do it under democracy, but not in the type of democracy being imposed from Washington," he said.

Hurricane Katrina
by Bush, Genocidal Chimp Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 11:51 PM

Cuba evacuated 660,000 people in advance of Hurricane Dennis, a Cat 4 that hit them in July, and suffered ten fatalities.

Cuba not only invests in disaster preparation and strong civil defense, but has a social commitment to medical infrastructure, high literacy levels, and government support of community organizers, to mention a few of the reasons.

Cuba is resource poor. The United States is resource rich. Figure it out.

What makes Cuba's disaster preparation successful and that of the US a disaster after the disaster?

The Cubans care. The white ruling class of the US doesn't give two shi*ts about anything or anyone except their own class… and themselves. They don't give a fuc*k about the soldier in Iraq any more than they give a fuc*k about Black people in New Orleans. These folks are just tools for them, just a cheap set of hands, cannon fodder or slaughterhouse fodder or the representatives of a dark enemy to justify the depradations of racist cops.

George Bush Declares War on Black People
by Bush, Genocidal Chimp Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 11:55 PM

During a nationally televised Hurricane Katrina relief show, actor/rapper Kayne West commented on Bush.

"George Bush doesn't care about black people," West concluded, staring right into the camera.

His co-presenter, comic actor Mike Myers, stood beside him, blood draining from his face.

"They're saying black families are looting and white families are just looking for food...they're giving the (Army) permission to shoot us"

NBC attempted to cut off the off-script remarks by cutting to a shot of actor Chris Tucker, but by then, the damage had already been done.

Kayne West live:

Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA, are Federal agencies, which exist from states like Louisiana contributing Federal taxes.

$250 million for levee projects was missing from their budget to handle the levees. Bush approved diverting that money to kill women and children in Iraq.

June 8, 2004, Walter Maestri, emergency management chief for Jefferson Parish, Louisiana; told the Times-Picayune: "The money has been moved in the president's budget to handle the war in Iraq, and I suppose that's the price we pay. Nobody locally is happy that the levees can't be finished, and we are doing everything we can to make the case that this is a security issue for us."

That June, with the 2004 hurricane season starting, the Corps' project manager Al Naomi went before a local agency, the East Jefferson Levee Authority, and begged for $2 million for urgent work that Washington was now unable to pay for.

So where was FEMA? The hurricane left 200,000 people homeless and more than 1 million without electricity. Storm victims stood for days in the hot sun, desperate for food, clean water, shelter.

after three days of chaos, FEMA, Federal Emergency Management Agency, which is in charge of coordinating federal disaster relief, was invisible.

"The results are not acceptable," Bush the Butcher said on Friday.

Eric Holdemann, director of Seattle's office of emergency management, and other experts place the blame squarely in Bush's lap.

Eric Holdemann: "Those of us in the business of dealing with natural emergencies find ourselves with no national leadership and no mentors," Holdemann described Bush's actions as "all but dismantling FEMA", which he and others had praised for years as a model of good government.

Figure it out.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune wrote three years ago, "It's only a matter of time before south Louisiana takes a direct hit from a major hurricane."

Mark Fischetti, contributing editor of Scientific American, wrote 'The Drowning of New Orleans', warning that only massive reengineering of Southeastern Louisiana would save New Orleans from a catastrophic flood. Local scientists, engineers, and the governor's office of Louisiana predicted with computer models what would happen if a hurricane hit New Orleans directly. The models predicted exactly what has happened, the entire city of New Orleans under water, the pumps inundated, standing water, waste, garbage, dead bodies, some of it quite toxic, is floating around in that.

Experts came up with a plan of four or five major steps that should be taken to protect the city and the delta. The plan got no response from the feds because of the 'expense'.

Two big programs underway, one involved with flooding within the city and surrounding areas, and the other with hurricane protection and levee protection, had their funding drastically cut by the feds. Local officials and members of Congress from Louisiana found it impossible to get money to fund those things. The Bush administration diverted the budget to Iraq and for bloating its own bureaucracy and it cut back on funding the corps of engineers whose projects were absolutely vital to protecting New Orleans.

Bush's Obscene Tirades Rattle White House Aides
Doug Thompson, Capitol Hill Blue, Aug 25, 2005

While President George W. Bush travels around the country in a last-ditch effort to sell his Iraq war, White House aides scramble frantically behind the scenes to hide the dark mood of an increasingly angry leader who unleashes obscenity-filled outbursts at anyone who dares disagree with him.

"I'm not meeting again with that godd|amned bi|tch," Bush screamed at aides who suggested he meet again with Cindy Sheehan, the war-protesting mother whose son died in Iraq. "She can go to hell as far as I'm concerned!"

Bush flashes the bird, something aides say he does often and has been doing since his days as governor of Texas.

Bush, administration aides confide, frequently explodes into tirades over those who protest the war, calling them "motherf|ucking traitors." He reportedly was so upset over Veterans of Foreign Wars members who wore "bullshi|t protectors" over their ears during his speech to their annual convention that he told aides to "tell those VFW as|sholes that I'll never speak to them again is they can't keep their members under control."

White House insiders say Bush is growing increasingly bitter over mounting opposition to his war in Iraq. Polls show a vast majority of Americans now believe the war was a mistake and most doubt the President's honesty.

"Who gives a flying f|uck what the polls say," he screamed at a recent strategy meeting. "I'm the President and I'll do whatever I god****ed please. They don't know shi|t."

Bush, while setting up for a photo-op for signing the recent CAFTA bill, flipped an extended middle finger to reporters.

Red Cross official: 211 Iraqi civilians have been killed so far in the on-going US offensive on Tall 'Afar; more than 140 homes have been destroyed by American fire targeted on residences.

An International Red Cross official stated that the extent of destruction in Tall 'Afar had reached extremely serious and dangerous levels.

The Red Cross official said that so far 211 Iraqi civilians had died in the American assault. Most of the bodies of those killed by the US forces were still buried in the rubble of their homes bombed over them. Women and children are among the dead, the IRC official said.

Nine mosques, five schools, water and electricity stations have been destroyed – vital facilities for the population. Also destroyed were more than 140 private homes and residences.

members of the Iraqi Resistance inside the city of Tall Afar issued an appeal to all the world's Muslims to add to their worship at sunset on Sunday a prayer for God's support for the Iraqi Resistance and to save Tall 'Afar and its people from the American campaign of genocide.

Iraqi Resistance fighters destroyed a convoy of trucks loaded with supplies and equipment for the US their puppet soldiers blockading and attacking Tall 'Afar. All five trucks in the column were destroyed.

Three Iraqi women were raped by US soldiers after seizing a neighborhood in Tall 'Afar. One of the young women had died as a result of gang rape by several US soldiers.

Doctors, nurses and journalists have been banned from entering the city. Food and medical assistance entering the city are banned and remaining residents are without food, water, and electricity.

Ambulances have also not been allowed to get to the wounded and the bodies of the dead remain strewn about the streets.

Meanwhile Iraqi resistance continued to engage in heroic resistance actions throughout the country.

"The people who invaded and destroyed Iraq and have murdered more than a million Iraqi people by sanctions and war will burn in Hell in the hell-fires, and their name in history will be branded as killers and war criminals for all time."
-George Galloway

Anyone who contributes to the genocide and occupation that happens daily in Iraq is a cowardly mass murderer.

This means the entire American mercenary army, along with their State Department and CIA and corporate trolls. The mission of these uneducated and unethical beasts has been solely to kill torture and subjugate innocent Iraqi people. American military beasts are complicit in mass murder, so the deaths of these volunteers are therefore.. to be celebrated.

"the best thing British [and American] troops can do is refuse to obey orders."
- George Galloway

"The scenes from the stricken city almost defy belief. Many, many thousands of people left to die in what is the richest, most powerful country on Earth. This obscenity is as far from a natural disaster as George Bush and the U.S. elite are from the suffering masses of New Orleans. The images of Bush luxuriating at his ranch and of his secretary of state shopping for $7,000 shoes while disaster swamped the U.S. Gulf Coast will haunt this administration.

In the most terrible way imaginable they show to the whole world that it is not only the lives of people in Baghdad, Fallujah and Palestine that Bush holds cheap. It is also his own citizens - the black and poor people left behind with no food, water or shelter. This is not simply manslaughter through incompetence, though the White House's incompetence abounds. It is murder - for Bush was warned four years ago of the threat to New Orleans, as surely as he was warned of the disaster that would come of his war on Iraq. ..."

Destroy the US Terror Recruiters
by Bush the Butcher in Afghanistan Sunday, Oct. 09, 2005 at 12:26 AM

Al-Qaida commander Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Mullah Omar remain at large. There is increasing violence, not just by the Taliban insurgents but also by criminal groups. Drug cultivation and trafficking, often supported by corrupt government officials, is skyrocketing. Powerful warlords limit the writ of the Karzai regime, which has not dared to confront them; some of those warlords, who helped tear the country apart, may soon be elected governmental officials.

A few dozen kilometers north of Kabul, former Talibs say that the fight against the Americans is legitimate.

The NGOs, the U.N., and the large staff at the British, American, Japanese, French embassies has made a Mafia system of aid.

The international community - thousands of embassy personnel, aid workers, private contractors and U.N. staff - has almost no interaction with ordinary Afghans outside of their own limited local staff. Dozens of huge, white SUVs jam intersections, filled with armed security and covered in an alphabet soup of acronyms.

"Why is it the international community in Kabul lives in luxurious guesthouses?" asks Bashardost. "They live like kings here and Afghans cannot even visit their offices - but an NGO in Europe, where do they live? Near the poor people they are helping."

According to a Western analyst, the United Nations staff and some larger NGOs are all but barred for security reasons from interacting with Afghans not lucky enough to have jobs with them.

logistics account for 70 percent or more of their budget. a $100,000 project is awarded to an American contractor and gets subcontracted down to another contractor for $80,000 and then down again and again until it reaches the Afghans as a $20,000 project. We see it all the time."

And many ordinary Afghans resent international aid groups, which they see as wasteful, ineffective and cut off from the people they are supposedly helping.

Armed revolution is justified in Afghanistan.

American and British Covert Ops in Iraq
by Bush the Butcher Sunday, Oct. 09, 2005 at 12:39 AM

Suicide bombings and false-flag terror operations for maximum slaughter of civilians are being carried out by the occupying powers in Iraq

The British have long experience of this with the IRA: example - a British army soldier working as a double agent carried out bombing attack in Omagh on August 15, 1998 killing twenty-nine civilians.

The military handlers of a soldier code-named "Stakeknife" authorized him to carry out large numbers of terrorist murders in order to protect his cover within the IRA.

in late 2002 the British army used its double agents in terrorist organizations to carry out proxy assassinations.

Two British soldiers in civilian clothes were arrested by Iraqi police in Basra on September 19— released by a British tank and helicopter assault on the prison where they were being held—had been engaged in planting bombs in the city.

Donald Rumsfeld formed the P2OG, or Proactive Preemptive Operations Group, to carry out false-flag terror operations on Iraqi civilians.

Many of the terror bombings carried out against civilian targets in Iraq have actually been perpetrated by U.S. and British forces rather than by the Iraqi resistance.

on April 22, 2004, Agence France-Presse reported that evidence had been presented that the British carried out five car-bombings in Basra—three near-simultaneous attacks outside police stations in Basra that killed sixty-eight people, including twenty children, and two follow-up bombings.

"A man living in a house across from a bomb blast in Baghdad reported that he saw an American patrol passing through the area and pausing at the bomb site minutes before the explosion. Soon after they drove away, the bomb went off and chaos ensued. He ran out of his house screaming to the neighbors and bystanders that the Americans had either planted the bomb or seen the bomb and done nothing about it. He was promptly taken away."

In Baghdad a driver whose license had been confiscated at an American checkpoint was told "to report to an American military camp near Baghdad airport for interrogation and in order to retrieve his license." After being questioned for half an hour, he was informed that there was nothing against him, but that his license had been forwarded to the Iraqi police at the al-Khadimiya station "for processing"—and that he should get there quickly before the lieutenant whose name he was given went off his shift.

"The driver did leave in a hurry, but was soon alarmed with a feeling that his car was driving as if carrying a heavy load, and he also became suspicious of a low flying helicopter that kept hovering overhead, as if trailing him. He stopped the car and inspected it carefully. He found nearly 100 kilograms of explosives hidden in the back seat and along the two back doors. The car had been booby trapped by the Americans and was intended for the al-Khadimiya Shiite district of Baghdad. The helicopter was monitoring his movement and witnessing the anticipated 'hideous attack by foreign elements'."

The same scenario was repeated in Mosul, in the north of Iraq. On this occasion, the driver's life was saved when his car broke down on the way to the police station where he was supposed to reclaim his license, and when the mechanic "discovered that the spare tire was fully laden with explosives."

The CIA and MI6 trained, financed and armed Osama bin Laden's supporters.

During the 1980s spokesmen for Reagan heaped ridicule on Nicaraguan accusations that the U.S. was illegally supplying weapons to the 'Contras'—until, that is, a CIA-operated C-123 cargo aircraft full of weaponry was shot down over Nicaragua, and a cargo handler who survived the crash testified that his supervisors (one of whom was Luis Posada, the CIA agent responsible for the 1976 bombing of a Cuban civilian airliner) were working for then-Vice-President George H.W. Bush.

On September 19 suspicious Iraqi police stopped a Toyota Cressida that undercover British soldiers were driving, whereupon the soldiers opened fire, killing one Iraqi policeman and wounding another. The soldiers, identified by the BBC as "members of the SAS elite special forces" were however subdued by the Iraqi police and arrested.

The soldiers car was stocked with assault rifles, a machine gun, an anti-tank weapon, and was booby-trapped with explosives and remote-control devices, meant to explode in the centre of the city of Basra in the popular market.

"What our police found in their car was very disturbing—weapons, explosives, and a remote control detonator. These are the weapons of terrorists. These soldiers were planning an attack on a market or other civilian targets.."

The British army became fiercely determined to remove these SAS men from any danger of interrogation by their supposed "allies" in the puppet Iraqi government — The "rescue" entailed the destruction of an Iraqi prison and the release of a large number of prisoners, along with gun-battles against Shiites and Iraqi police.

American and British car-bomb attacks on civilians have clearly been designed to produce open civil war in Iraq, which would be a welcome development in the eyes of the occupation forces.

"What if we invaded a country under false pretenses; occupied it; began building huge, permanent military bases on its territory; let its capital and provincial cities be looted; disbanded its military; provided no services essential to modern life; couldn't even produce oil for gas tanks in an oil-rich land; bombed some of its cities, destroyed parts or all of others; put tens of thousands of its inhabitants in U.S. military-controlled jails (where prisoners would be subjected to barbaric tortures and humiliations); provided next to no jobs; opened the economy to every kind of depredation; set foreign corporations to loot the country; invited in tens of thousands of private "security contractors," heavily armed and under no legal constraints; and then asked large numbers of Iraqis, desperate for jobs that could be found nowhere else, to join a new "Iraqi" military force meant to defend a "government" that could hardly leave an American fortified enclave in its own capital.

After that, our military trainers, generals, politicians, reporters, and pundits all began fretting about this force for not fighting fiercely, being independent, taking the initiative, or "standing up."

The question should be, but isn't: Standing up for what?

This phenomenon - recruited soldiers who just don't or can't or won't fight, who need years and vast sums of money and equipment, and then hardly stand up without an American "backbone" nearby; and theirs, who fight willingly, eagerly, fiercely, bravely, and with initiative -- was also a phenomenon of the Vietnam War era.

The feeling is your country has been violated and occupied by foreigners. In the last two centuries, no emotion has mobilized more people in arms than nationalism when other people take up arms and "patriotism" when we do so.

Call it love of country.

Add religion to that or the belief that your country or region has been taken over by unbelievers and you have a powerful opponent."

Charles Brooker - The Guardian

The US election draws ever nearer, and while the rest of the world bangs its head against the floorboards screaming "Please God, not Bush!", the candidates clash head to head in a series of live televised debates. It's a bit like American Idol, but with terrifying global ramifications.

He should be flung out of office: tarred, feathered and kicked in the nuts. His behaviour goes beyond strange, and heads toward terrifying. He looks like he's listening to something we can't hear. He blinks, he mumbles, he lets a sentence trail off, starts a new one, then reverts back to whatever he was saying in the first place. Each time he recalls a statistic (either from memory or the voice in his head), he flashes us a dumb little smile, like a toddler proudly showing off its first bowel movement.

So I sit there and I watch this and I start scratching my head, because I'm trying to work out why Bush is afforded any kind of credence or respect whatsoever in his native country. His performance is so transparently bizarre, so feeble and stumbling, it's a miracle he wasn't laughed off the stage.

Throughout the debate, John Kerry, for his part, looks and sounds a bit like a haunted tree. But at least he's not a lying, snigering, drink-driving, selfish, reckless, ignorant, dangerous, backward, drooling, twitching, blinking, mouse-faced little cheat.

On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod's law dictates he'll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?

US President George Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair acted much like Nazi war criminals in ordering the invasion of Iraq, the United Nations' former chief weapons inspector to the country says.

Scott Ritter said the "aggressive warfare" of the United States and Britain in Iraq was similar to German actions in Europe in the second world war.

"Both these men could be pulled up as war criminals for engaging in actions that we condemned Germany [for] in 1946," Ritter said in an address at the Chatham House think-tank in London on Friday.

"I believe that if we had and would keep our dirty, bloody, dollar-soaked fingers out of the business of these nations so full of depressed, exploited people, they will arrive at a solution of their own ... And if unfortunately their revolution must be of the violent type because the "haves" refuse to share with the "have-nots" by any peaceful method, at least what they get will be their own, and not the American style, which they don't want and above all don't want crammed down their throats by Americans"

Retarded American Rednecks - Traitors
by Che Monday, Feb. 13, 2006 at 1:37 AM

Talk's cheap. Let's reinstate the draft, set up a lottery for men and women, ages 18 - 64. We can find a place in the military for everyone! When all those tough-talking chickenhawks, materialistic soccer moms, and raghead-hating rednecks start thinking THEY might be the ones fighting and dying for Haliburton and Bush's lies … well, the Iraq War's gonna be over in about a week.

There's No Glory or Honor in Iraq - Stop the Troops!
by Che Monday, Feb. 13, 2006 at 1:41 AM

The American military, from top to bottom is a hideous blight on our planet. There are no innocents in this massive killing machine. There's no 'honour' in volunteering for the worlds largest terrorist organization, now under the command of the deceitful, criminal cabal led by George W. Bush. American soldiers are well trained to kill, and obviously, to torture, and they go off to Iraq all of their own 'free will." They know that they will kill, and that they may die. There will not be any "honour," or "glory" for these stupid youngsters who continue to volunteer themselves for 'duty' in Bush's appalling adventure. These soldiers, including the 2000 dead, by taint of their volunteer status, are each personally responsible for the murder of 100,000 innocent Iraqi's.

The rate of terror attacks worldwide has tripled since 9/11, so the world is no safer. No one has "won the war but lost the peace" in Iraq -- one of the most Orwellian phrases imaginable, repeated like a drunken mantra to sustain denial about the reality of Iraq. The war has never been won. All that was accomplished was a bloody occupation.

According to every poll, the majority of Iraqis want the occupation out, so the majority will is not being respected in this alleged attempt to build democracy at gunpoint.

The U.S. military occupation of Iraq is the single greatest catalyst for the violence there. Fewer than 4 percent of the insurgent fighters are foreign, and they are there because of the U.S. presence. There are around 500 attacks per week, and electoral gymnastics have not changed this one whit -- in fact, these U.S.-managed affairs actually make things much worse.

It's time to face these facts head-on and to get out of Iraq now. Immediately. As quickly as the plans can be drawn up for redeployment.

The Iraqis have coped with far more chaos from the occupation than they will without it, and, however painfully, they will find their way better when it is their way, not what the Bush administration says is their way.

The White House/Pentagon/Green Zone axis wants "shock therapy", deregulation, wide-ranging privatization, control of Iraqi natural resources, Iraq reduced to a deregulated capitalist colony with all or most government properties and services controlled by American multinationals and all assets held by the foreign lending institutions that own the majority shares of the Iraqi National Bank.

According to Washington's script, progressive invisibility of the occupying force means increasing repression exercised by Iraqi forces. This means the return - in full force - of Saddam's Mukhabarat agents, now posing as agents of the new Iraqi security and intelligence services. Seemingly, that is the way the disenfranchised Muqtada-regimented masses see it: Bush equals Saddam because the same people who repressed us are back.

American economist Jeremy Rifkin has calculated the number of years known world oil reserves would last at current rates of consumption and extraction. In the US it would be only 10 years. By contrast, in Iran it would be 53 years; in Saudi Arabia 55; in the United Arab Emirates 75; in Kuwait 116; and in Iraq no less than 526 years. That says it all about controlling oil reserves in the Middle East.

The ideal White House/Pentagon script for Iraq calls for a pro-American government, total control of at least 12% of the world's known oil reserves and 14 military bases to make it happen. Reality has been churning up other ideas.

"Humanity does not know a more savage, cynical, cruel, hypocritical or dangerous empire than that of the U.S., the most cruel and exterminating in history."

You are Accomplishing Nothing
by Someone with Sense Thursday, Nov. 09, 2006 at 10:39 AM

You are so proud of yourselves for supposedly shutting down the recruiting center? This just shows how retarded you really are, it is already closed on Saturday! Do you really think that you are accomplishing anything by dressing and acting like freaks and standing in front of one small recruiting center? The freedom you have to do the stupid stunts you do without fear of being killed comes from the same military that you trash. The only thing you are accomplishing is showcasing your own stupidity. The people who know the least always talk the loudest -

normal hours

The center is normally open on saturday. It closed that day because of the threat of violent protests. You can go ask at the center if you'd like confirmation of this fact.

Great job....for the police. If you don't like America leave. No one is keeping you here!! Kudos for the Fox NEWS caster!!!! The police need some of our (military) non-leathal rounds!!!!!
