REMEMBERING HIROSHIMA Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute in Oakland to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Hiroshima. Protesters poured several hundred pounds of ashes on the steps of the building SEI as university police looked on. ashes were symbolic of the people incinerated in Hiroshima.
