Zionist Jewish Terror, Zionist Violence, Zionist Perversion, Zionist Criminality, Zionist Gangsterism, Zionist Gang/Terror Stalking, Zionist Thought Police, Zionist Control of "Crime" (Law) Enforcement, Zionist Control (Monopoly) of Media, and other Zionazism in the Pittsburgh Region.
The violent, criminal, terrorist, hateful, zionist, extremist, smear-mongering, neoconservative, lobbyists for Israel's Likud Party, frame-up artists at the AntiDefamation League field office in Pittsburgh and their fascist gang stalking/terror stalking membership are at it again.
Busy silencing dissent and free speech and doing other un-american activities in the Pittsburgh / Southwest Pa region. Utilizing their affiliation with the terroristic and murderous JDL, JDO, MOSSAD, etc.
Using their complete control of the police, the military and military helicopters, vehicles and personnel.... and city workers like ambulence, firemen and firetrucks, garbage truck drivers...... and their contacts with mafia (both jewish and italian) tow truck companies, cement mixer trucks, construction companies....
.... they gang stalk/terror stalk their victims (using all of the above equipment, vehicles and personnel), who are usually activists utilizing their free speech rights against zionism, critics of Israeli policies towards the Palestinians and other Arabs, critics of the ADL and AIPAC and other obvious zionist spy groups and lobbyists for Zionist foreign policies of the United States and Israel, Peace activists against the Iraqi, Afghani and the upcoming Irani and Syrian Wars.......
Local actor, independant filmmaker and activist Ray Duquesne / Dequenne was gang stalked by zionists and arrested for "littering" with a plastic empty coke bottle by zionist controlled Pennsylvania State Police from the Washington, Pa., barracks near Canonsburg, Pa on 25 Feb 2005 at 1 a.m.
Ray was kept in tight blood constricting handcuffs and roughed up and tortured by State Trooper Koehner and others for 3 hours in their barracks offices before being released to his girlfriend at 4 a.m. with 5 summary criminal citations. The local zionist controlled Canonsburg magistrate David Mark has threatened to jail for "For a long time" over the alleged "litterimg" incident. The zionists have paid some inamtes at the Washington County Jail to threaten Ray's life should he be jailed.
the Kangaroo court hearing has been scheduled for 31 May 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at 45 Water Street in Canonsburg, Pa (just south of Pittsburgh on I-79). Please, all activists should attend and support Ray in this Kangaroo Court judicial lynching Hearing.

activist Ray Duquesne / Dequenne has been the victim of this form of terror and other terrorism by the above zionist organizations, their memberships, and their assets described above. This has been ongoing, all encompassing and non-stop for the last two years.
Ray has two websites describing his ordeal and featuring pictures of his gang-stalking tormentors and terrorists at:

I have no doubt that the police in Israel are "zionist controlled" as that is the ideology that pervades the Israeli government, though that ideology comes with many variations. But Washington Co., PA? News to me. Haven't met too many Jews from there. I guess there is some long-distance control going on - a cabal of investment bankers, reds, and jilted ex-Ford Truck workers. Please include documentation with your next film. I'm sure it will be a piece of work.

You really mean to tell me that your littering infraction in WashPa is somehow related to some kind of "Zionist global conspiracy?" I think you're taking this from legitimate political opposition to Isreali treatment of Palestinians to full-blown anti-Semitism.
You can't just scapegoat Jewish people for all the world's problems. I'm not defending the police brutality you allegedly experienced, but I don't think Zionism -- the political belief that Israel is entitled to exist as its own country -- is at fault in Washington, PA! And if you really blame the Jewish people (or even just Jews with Zionist beliefs) for that, that's both myopic and offensive

Oh, yes, the all inclusive caring sensitive politically-correct kinder and gentler world of the Left and IMC. You can be censored here for being "insensitive" to the ridiculously oversentive and fundamental flawed ranting of some jilted Womyn, but you can curse up a racist storm about the Jews. You can be censored and shouted down for pointing out the stupidity of Rachel Corrie, but you can promote the most heinous of blood-libel conspiracy theories against "The Jews". You can get panned by the editors for pointing up the stupidity of the "Movement" in its "Struggle", but you can get a gold star for promoting racism against the Jewish people.
FREE MUMMIA !!! But go ahead and kill the Jews.
Thank you whoever you are for exposing, once again, the blatant racism and hypocrisy of IMC.

Talk about stalking! Ray stalked more than one female friend of mine over the period of 2 years. Ray is a legend in his own mind and potentially dangerous. He has made accusations of harrassment and intimidation against the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh including a list of names he insists harrassed him. Some of the people on that list had never spoken two words to the guy. Take Ray's ramblings with a grain of salt, he's not playing with a full deck.
plenty of documentation

imabeliever@rock.com
who are these supposed females that Ray has stalked for two years? Ray spent the last several years down in north carolina and other states, so how did he accomplish this amazing feat? Are there police reports by these females? It would be incredible not to have involved the police in an instance of being stalked for 2 YEARS!!!!!! this accusation sounds like bullshit. Ray has had the same girlfriend for the last 6 years, and she is from North Carolina.
Ray was invited by the Carnegie library and museum to present two very successful lectures at the prestigious Carnegie Lecture Hall in Oakland over a period of two years. The library and museum staff did this because they knew Ray for many, many years as he researched at the Library and Museum. It was unfortunate that some young, skinhead punks whose job is to shelve books at the library decided to target Ray when he came to the defense of a gay, jewish male whom Ray observed was being intimidated and harassed by these scum while on Carnegie Property. the gay community is aware of several other incidents like this at the Carnegie, and have featured these stories in their newspaper Q magazine and, like Ray, lodged complaints with the Pittsburgh Human Relations Board. It is also unfortunate that the Carnegie always circles wagons around these low-level wrongdoers, even when there are witnesses and multiple incidents from different complainents.
Ray has also been featured on the front pages of the New Pittsburgh Courier, the premiere national black newspaper hq'ed in Pittsburgh, pa. for his efforts in fighting the racists and freemasons from the Scottish Rite to B'Nai B'rith.
the following are just some of the many newspaper articles that have featured Ray. None of the zionist smearers on this webpage have this sort of resume.

Zionist Hate Speech
by Zionazi
Monday, Jun. 06, 2005 at 1:58 PM
Zionazi's always scream about death threats against Jews - ("All Jews Must Die") which is almost all the time an exaggeration, as is typical of psychopathic zionists, such as the exaggeration stated above in the replies....
meanwhile, there are always DEATH THREATS from zionazi's to others.... and zionist hate speech is amongst the worst of the worst... zionazi's always screech and wail the loudest about hate and hate speech. but they are the guiltiest haters and talkers. as shakespeare said, "they doth protesteth too much"... which makes them suspect.
What about this? EXAMPLES OF HATE SPEECH
We are very far from any moral hesitations when concerned with the national struggle. First and foremost, terror is
for us a part of the political war appropriate for the circumstances of today...”
- Yitzhak Shamir
Terror is a commonly used tactic by the zionist jewish community against their targets, in order to silence them. It is sanctioned by their leaders, snf by police and FBI inaction, or even participation aginst u.s. citizens. Consider their criminal actions against Ray Duquesne and his loved ones. And there are thousands of others nationwide who are victims of zionazi terror campaigns and criminality.
"When we at last definately come into our own kingdom, by the aid of Coups D' etat prepared everywhere for one and the same day, we shall make it our task to see that against us such things as plots shall no longer exist. WITH THIS PURPSOE WE SHALL SLAY WITHOUT MERCY all taking arms to oppose our coming into our kingdom (worldwide). Every kind of new institution of anything like a secret society shall also be punished with death; those of them which are now in existence, are known to us, serve us and have served us, we shall destroy." - David Ben Gurion
this is the purpose why they relentlessy and psychotically, criminally track, pursue, gang stalk activists like Ray not only in America but around the globe - for eventual elimination when they institute Operation Fortress Americas........
1. "There is a huge gap between us (Jews) and our enemies not just in ability but in morality, culture, sanctity of life, and conscience. They are our neighbors here, but it seems as if at a distance of a few hundred meters away, there are people who do not belong to our continent, to our world, but actually belong to a different galaxy." Israeli president Moshe Katsav. The Jerusalem Post, May 10, 2001
2. "The Palestinians are like crocodiles, the more you give them meat, they want more".... Ehud Barak, Prime Minister of Israel at the time - August 28, 2000. Reported in the Jerusalem Post August 30, 2000
3. " [The Palestinians are] beasts walking on two legs." Menahim Begin, speech to the Knesset, quoted in Amnon Kapeliouk, "Begin and the Beasts". New Statesman, 25 June 1982.
4. "The Palestinians" would be crushed like grasshoppers ... heads smashed against the boulders and walls." " Isreali Prime Minister (at the time) in a speech to Jewish settlers New York Times April 1, 1988
5. "When we have settled the land, all the Arabs will be able to do about it will be to scurry around like drugged cockroaches in a bottle." Raphael Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defence Forces, New York Times, 14 April 1983.
6. "How can we return the occupied territories? There is nobody to return them to." Golda Maier, March 8, 1969.
7. "There was no such thing as Palestinians, they never existed." Golda Maier Israeli Prime Minister June 15, 1969
8. "The thesis that the danger of genocide was hanging over us in June 1967 and that Israel was fighting for its physical existence is only bluff, which was born and developed after the war." Israeli General Matityahu Peled, Ha'aretz, 19 March 1972.
9. David Ben Gurion (the first Israeli Prime Minister): "If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti - Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault ? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?" Quoted by Nahum Goldmann in Le Paraddoxe Juif (The Jewish Paradox), pp121.
10. Ben Gurion also warned in 1948 : "We must do everything to insure they ( the Palestinians) never do return." Assuring his fellow Zionists that Palestinians will never come back to their homes. "The old will die and the young will forget."
11. "We have to kill all the Palestinians unless they are resigned to live here as slaves." Chairman Heilbrun of the Committee for the Re-election of General Shlomo Lahat, the mayor of Tel Aviv, October 1983.
12. "Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." - Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, October 3, 2001, to Shimon Peres, as reported on Kol Yisrael radio. (Certainly the FBI's cover-up of the Israeli spy ring/phone tap scandal suggests that Mr. Sharon may not have been joking.)
13. "We declare openly that the Arabs have no right to settle on even one centimeter of Eretz Israel... Force is all they do or ever will understand. We shall use the ultimate force until the Palestinians come crawling to us on all fours." Rafael Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces - Gad Becker, Yediot Ahronot 13 April 1983, New York Times 14 April 1983.
14. "We must do everything to ensure they [the Palestinian refugees] never do return" David Ben-Gurion, in his diary, 18 July 1948, quoted in Michael Bar Zohar's Ben-Gurion: the Armed Prophet, Prentice-Hall, 1967, p. 157.
15. "We should prepare to go over to the offensive. Our aim is to smash Lebanon, Trans-Jordan, and Syria. The weak point is Lebanon, for the Moslem regime is artificial and easy for us to undermine. We shall establish a Christian state there, and then we will smash the Arab Legion, eliminate Trans-Jordan; Syria will fall to us. We then bomb and move on and take Port Said, Alexandria and Sinai." David Ben-Gurion, May 1948, to the General Staff. From Ben-Gurion, A Biography, by Michael Ben-Zohar, Delacorte, New York 1978.
16. "We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population." Israel Koenig, "The Koenig Memorandum"
17. "Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. There is not a single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population." Moshe Dayan, address to the Technion, Haifa, reported in Haaretz, April 4, 1969.
18. "We walked outside, Ben-Gurion accompanying us. Allon repeated his question, What is to be done with the Palestinian population?' Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said 'Drive them out!'" Yitzhak Rabin, leaked censored version of Rabin memoirs, published in the New York Times, 23 October 1979.
19. Rabin's description of the conquest of Lydda, after the completion of Plan Dalet. "We shall reduce the Arab population to a community of woodcutters and waiters" Uri Lubrani, PM Ben-Gurion's special adviser on Arab Affairs, 1960. From "The Arabs in Israel" by Sabri Jiryas.
20. "There are some who believe that the non-Jewish population, even in a high percentage, within our borders will be more effectively under our surveillance; and there are some who believe the contrary, i.e., that it is easier to carry out surveillance over the activities of a neighbor than over those of a tenant. [I] tend to support the latter view and have an additional argument:...the need to sustain the character of the state which will henceforth be Jewish...with a non-Jewish minority limited to 15 percent. I had already reached this fundamental position as early as 1940 [and] it is entered in my diary." Joseph Weitz, head of the Jewish Agency's Colonization Department. From Israel: an Apartheid State by Uri Davis, p.5.
21. "Everybody has to move, run and grab as many hilltops as they can to enlarge the settlements because everything we take now will stay ours... Everything we don't grab will go to them." Ariel Sharon, Israeli Foreign Minister, addressing a meeting of militants from the extreme right-wing Tsomet Party, Agence France Presse, November 15, 1998.
22. "It is the duty of Israeli leaders to explain to public opinion, clearly and courageously, a certain number of facts that are forgotten with time. The first of these is that there is no Zionism, colonialization or Jewish State without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands." Yoram Bar Porath, Yediot Aahronot, of 14 July 1972.
23. "Spirit the penniless population across the frontier by denying it employment... Both the process of expropriation and the removal of the poor must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly." Theodore Herzl, founder of the World Zionist Organization, speaking of the Arabs of Palestine,Complete Diaries, June 12, 1895 entry.
24. "One million Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail." -- Rabbi Yaacov Perrin, Feb. 27, 1994 [Source: N.Y. Times, Feb. 28, 1994, p. 1]
25. "We Jews, we are the destroyers and will remain the destroyers. Nothing you can do will meet our demands and needs. We will forever destroy because we want a world of our own." (You Gentiles, by Jewish Author Maurice Samuels, p. 155).
26. "We will have a world government whether you like it or not. The only question is whether that government will be achieved by conquest or consent." (Jewish Banker Paul Warburg, February 17, 1950, as he testified before the U.S. Senate).
27. "We will establish ourselves in Palestine whether you like it or not...You can hasten our arrival or you can equally retard it. It is however better for you to help us so as to avoid our constructive powers being turned into a destructive power which will overthrow the world." (Chaim Weizmann, Published in "Judische Rundschau," No. 4, 1920
The truth is "hate speech" only to those who have something to hide
http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/hatespeech
Look at the history of the first intifada. When Palestinians, in particular the youth, rose up against the daily brutality of Israeli occupation in 1987, their rebellion quickly gained enormous sympathy around the world. Suicide bombings, which later became the symbol of despair at seemingly unending oppression, were unknown. Instead we had Palestinian stones ranged against heavily armed, deeply antagonistic and racist Israeli troops. Even such supposed ‘peacemakers’ as the late but unlamented Yitzhak Rabin were heard to call for “force, might and beatings”. http://www.cpgb.org.uk/worker/485/palestine.html
It was always night when they came, a certainly that made Palestinian women huddle nervously inside their small houses until the sun rose high in the sky the following day. Sometimes there was a hint of an advance warning, perhaps animals moving restlessly, or olive trees rustling when there was no wind, but this morning there was no time to prepare and no time to hide their helpless children. Armed with weapons stolen from British soldiers whose throats were cut while they slept, Irgun, Stern and Haganah terrorists slipped silently into the Palestinian village of Deir Yassin at dawn. Led by war criminal Menachem Begin, this Zionist scum from the ghettos and gutters of Europe flitted from house to house, committing unspeakable atrocities and laughing aloud as the defenseless women tried to resist.
When they finally tired of this sport, Irgun, Stern and Haganah terrorists alike opened fire, their stolen British bullets ripping through the vulnerable flesh of unarmed Palestinians. By noon that same day, 9 April 1948, just over 200 Palestinians lay dead in Deir Yassin, more than half of them women and children. But the terrorists were not quite finished. Next, they loaded 25 unarmed male survivors on trucks and paraded them around the Zakhron Yosef quarter in Jerusalem. It was a display of absolute Zionist power, showing all and sundry who was really in control of Palestine.
It could have ended there, but the Zionists had something more spectacular in mind: a lesson to all others who might dare to stand in their way, then or at any time in the future. The 25 unarmed survivors were driven to a stone quarry near Givat Shaul, where they were made to kneel, before Irgun and Stern terrorists took it in turns to fire single bullets into the back of each head. The lifeless bodies were then kicked into shallow graves.
These were the “Shock and Awe” tactics of David Ben Gurion, founding father of both Zionism and global terrorism. Though obviously clinically insane, this was the man who first drew up the plan for “Zion”, a “Promised Land for the Jews”, which most global citizens erroneously believed, and still believe, to be Palestine. But even as the first Jewish State was being formally declared in 1948, the arrogant Ben Gurion made it very clear that Palestine was not to be the one true Zion. Despite continual frantic urgings by religious Jews, he insisted that this first conquest be called “Yisrael”, and that its citizens, be they Jewish or not, would forever be called “Yisraelim”.
The final Zion, or Promised Land, would be determined by raw wealth and power rather than by mere religious symbolism. While intentionally leaking “false Zions” including Australia and Argentina to the media, Ben Gurion and his Zionist cohorts ultimately intended to overrun and capture the Americas The problem was that back in 1948 they had no real power, and would have been easily overwhelmed by the vast resources of the U.S. Military in particular. So conquest of the “one true Zion” was to be a long drawn-out game, with Zionists lobbies in America gradually eating away at the fabric of society. Then, when resistance in the Americas was eventually undermined to a predetermined level, it would be time to strike militarily. Believe me, that time is now very close.

Gang Stalking
by What About Freedom?
Wednesday, Jun. 08, 2005 at 9:24 AM
Gang Stalking: Gang Stalking is nationwide in the USA, and is in UK, Europe, Canada, and spreading. It seems to be almost seamless. What is it? What is it for? It's a shame of the depravity of man who get's so overzealous for power, money, and control that he gives himself over to participating in destroying peoples lives. How can there ever be peace if people can not respect themselves enough NOT to be involved in such hateful activity, and cannot respect other people who they feel they have issues with?
There has to be a better way than this type of "stuff".It's really a shame people don't know how to love and care for eachother. "Birds of feather flock together" as the saying goes, but no group should feel they have the right to unlawfully and covertly attack someone just because the person is not in their group, or has different values or opinions. I mean, have the victims of gang stalking done anything criminal? From reading on the internet, it seems as if most have nothing done anything wrong. Attacking a person psychologically and physically , and all the other various tactics that are used in gang stalking, is an attack on FREEDOM of all people, including you who do this gang stalking. But, I guess that is too hard for some people to understand. I hope someone stops and think about what they doing who does gang stalking. How can violence and hate be the answers to problems??? It just breeds and keeps the cycle of hate and violence alive. What do you think??? Is violence and hate the answer?? I hope not. The world is going deeper into darker periods, despite man's fantastical mind and technological advances, IF violence, hate, and slavery by abusive control becomes the popular way to force a desired result. In a 24/7 survielled society, as gang stalking offers, creativity will diminish, and the wicked will prosper. Thus, the whole world will become stymied, evil will inverted to be good. What do you gang stalkers think, who ever and why ever you do this??
Surely some of you must have a conscience, so please tell.

"
Look at the history of the first intifada. When Palestinians, in particular the youth, rose up against the daily brutality of Israeli occupation in 1987, their rebellion quickly gained enormous sympathy around the world."
When they tried to throw their hissy fit on the Egyptian side of the border, Egyptian trucks rolled up, tailgates dropped and they mowed down the demonstrators. End of Intifada as far as Egypt was concerned.
The Israelis have their hands tied, Egypt doesn't and the world doesn't seem to care.

If by tied hands, you mean up the elbows in the US coffers, I'd have to agree. That'd would put Egypt in second place, behind Israel. Sharon, Mubarak, Musharraf, Karimov, head the list of Hussein-league dictators the US loves to prop up.
But to your credit, most of the Arab gov'ts, not just Egypt care about the Palestinians only because they want the refugees gone.
I'm also impressed you know an Arabic curse word.

They don't want the "refugees" gone. They've been maintained as "refugees" for 60 years. If they really were concerned about them, they would have integrated them into their societies.
The "refugees" have been maintained as cannon fodder for the proxy war.

I confess I can no longer hear the word "Palestinian" without seeing it drip with the blood of their own insanely suicidal killers of ordinary citizens of Israel, infants, men and women, old and young alike. Those who won't strap dynamite to themselves prefer to roll grenades into religious schools where youth are studying their ancient faith or spraying anyone, soldier or non-combatant, with bullets. It is the fact, the presence, of Jewish life that is their enemy.
It is this utter contempt for the lives of Jews that all others must understand as well because it includes them. Being a Christian will not protect you, nor being a Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist. Islam is at war with all faiths and all peoples. If the Palestinians can destroy Israel, there is no nation that will be safe from the legions of Islamic holy warriors pledged to Jihad.

Foreign Exchange Program for Terror
By Lee Kaplan
FrontPageMagazine.com | March 25, 2005
College exchange students often visit other countries to learn of other cultures, appreciate the past, or gain valuable insight into other regions. Few go to be indoctrinated consciously for the purposes of political -- and literal -- warfare. However, the International Solidarity Movement and the Bethlehem Bible College have put together a program that does just that.
The ISM has long sent American students to the Middle East, where they undergo training by the ISM-ally, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a known terrorist group, and then physically obstruct Israeli forces trying to nab Palestinian terrorists. Front Page Magazine’s exposure of the ISM and the much-publicized deaths of two ISM-affiliated students, American Rachel Corrie and Englishman Tom Hurndall, led to dwindling recruitment numbers. Heightened scrutiny of terrorist organizations as well as a recent Israeli crackdown on ISM leaders like Kate Raphael has forced George Rishmawi, a Canadian-Palestinian Communist who co-founded the ISM, to rethink his organization’s tactics. Now the radical group has hit upon using international student exchanges in its campaign to aid the cause of Palestinian genocidal terror.
Mindful of the setbacks suffered by his activist troops, Rishmawi has set about remaking the ISM. For starters, he has rechristened the ISM the Palestine Summer Encounter (PSE). PSE has even managed to find a shill at Bethlehem Bible College in the West Bank to offer U.S. academic credit in Arabic. That will make the “educational” program of value to Middle East study centers across the U.S., many of which have been turned into de facto lobbying and propaganda bases calling for the dismantling of Israel. Incidently, generous Saudi and PLO grants are funding these programs.
The PSE’s program will be financed by the Holy Land Trust, a California-based NGO. Already the Holy Land Trust has caused headaches for U.S. counterterrorism officials by funding Palestinian NGOs that refuse to guarantee that the U.S. Agency for International Development funds they receive won’t be used to bankroll terrorism. The trust is run by Executive Director Sami Awad, who formerly headed the Palestine Children’s Welfare Relief Fund, an outfit that routinely featured photos and praise of suicide bombers on its website. According to Arab-American Christian journalist Joseph Farah, editor of World Net Daily: “The lies this group tells in the name of Christianity are big and bold. They include the standard lines about Jews robbing the homes of Arabs, stealing their land and brutalizing them in a repressive state of military occupation. These so-called Christians even rationalize terrorism.” A further look at Holy Land Trust’s website shows it is clearly political and designed to demonize “occupier” Israel.
But if the background of the Holy Land Trust is alarming, the program it is intended to underwrite is even more so. An article on the PSE program that appeared in the leftist Israeli newspaper Haaretz states, “The PSE program includes an Arabic course at the Bethlehem Bible College, with credits going toward a U.S. college degree; volunteer work with Palestinian aid organizations as well as Israeli peace groups; and trips, mostly in the West Bank, but also within the Green Line [along Israel’s border]. The students are hosted by Palestinian families which lowers the price for participants; the hosts also receive some payment.”
In order for students to attend Bethlehem Bible College’s anti-Israel indoctrination courses for credit, they must be enrolled in schools that have granted accreditation. Yet one can be certain that students studying Arabic at this college will also be advancing the ISM’s ultimate political goal: the destruction of Israel. The Haaretz article explains that “regardless of background, after a summer in the Palestinian territories, participants come away with a clear political picture.”
The article notes that, previously, participants were reluctant to sign up for the program. “Nearly all say they shied away from visiting the area till now because of the cost and that one PSE attraction was its reasonable price,” the article explains. The “reasonable price” has to do with subsidies paid by the PLO to import their radical cheerleaders.
As for said importation, as Front Page has revealed, ISM formerly transported most of its volunteers over to the Holy Land free of charge by abusing a Birthright Israel program. This program was set up by wealthy Jewish philanthropists to encourage immigration to Israel and appreciation for the Jewish state. Rather than supporting this mission, however, the ISM’s volunteers focused their energies on denouncing Israel as an “apartheid state” while excusing terrorism and violence against Israelis as “legitimate resistance.” As a consequence of such revelations, Birthright Israel applicants have come under greater scrutiny. Funds for the ISM’s free rides have consequently dried up. In Bethlehem Bible College, the ISM seems to have discovered a new way for an even wider group to gain entrance into Israel while cheering its destruction. Indeed, the program is in some ways even more convenient than Birthright Israel. Whereas the Birthright program could only be used for free transportation by anarchists and communists of Jewish ancestry, the Bethlehem College is far more inclusive: any student radical who favors Israel’s demise is welcome.
So what exactly is the Bethlehem Bible College? According to the ISM website, “Bethlehem Bible College seeks to train and prepare Christian servants—leaders for the churches and society within an Arab context.” As to what is meant by “Arab context,” a clue comes from the views of Bethlehem Bible College President Bishara Awad. Although thousands of Christians have fled the Holy Land in recent decades due to Muslim persecution, Awad blames the Jewish State for their departure. “Israeli persecution is ‘first and foremost’ to blame for Christian (and Muslim) emigration,” he claims.
Indeed, according to Awad, Israel is the greatest force for religious oppression in the Middle East. He has claimed: “We, Muslims and Christians alike, have been on the receiving end of oppression since 1967. The occupation is the root cause of economic deterioration. Some people can’t live under constant pressure for a long time; so they emigrate when they are no longer able or willing to withstand oppression.”
Asked to comment on Israeli allegations that many Christians leave the Middle East as a result of harassment by Muslims, Awad flatly denies the charge. “This is not true,” he says. “I have not seen any attack on our churches or institutions. We are like brothers here. We share in and attend each other’s social occasions. We are one people.”
Awad’s revisionism would come as significant news to anyone who witnessed the takeover of the Church of the Nativity by Arafat’s thugs in 2002. In addition, Muslim desecration of non-Islamic shrines, both Jewish and Christian, is well documented. Indeed, Christians are considered dhimmis, or second-class citizens, in Islamic society, and as such are subject to Muslim whim. Christian businessmen and shops are frequently shaken down by PLO members in protection rackets. Small wonder, then, that the Christian population in Bethlehem has decreased from 80 percent to just five percent since the creation of the Palestinian Authority in 1994. Furthermore, the state of religious freedom in Israel cannot credibly be compared to the Palestinian territories. Where Israel boasts a longstanding respect for religious pluralism, the Palestinian territories, in accord with Article 7 of the Palestinian Authority Constitution, are subject to Shari'a or Islamic law.
That Awad is willing to ignore the troubling record of Islamic attitudes toward Christianity in order to vilify Israel says much about the educational environment at Bethlehem College. Indeed, it seems safe to conclude that through its support of ISM, the college is less likely to teach Christian reconciliation than to try to convince Christians overseas to support Islamic hegemony over the Holy Land. It certainly has considerable resources to do so: according to its website, the college boasts millions in its budget.
Additional proof that the PSE program is intended to serve as a recruitment arm for the anti-Israel cause comes from the fact that it offers students housing with a Palestinian family. In the past, ISM leaders have stayed in houses where terrorists and suicide bombers had formerly lived. This makes it probable that PSE students from the U.S. may actually be living with families implicated in anti-Israel terrorism. Finally, if the ISM’s history of anti-Israel activism is any indication, the Palestinian Summer Encounter extracurricular activities will almost certainly include interfering with the IDF’s anti-terrorist operations.
Despite the PSE’s extremist agenda, it is billed under the postcard-pleasant mantra: “Come to Palestine, Stay with Friends.” But a more accurate description of the PSE program would read like this: Come to a war zone. Learn how to promote Muslim hegemony over the Jews and Christians. And get college credit, too.
THREE LESSONS FROM A WOMAN TERRORIST
by David
Monday, Jul. 04, 2005 at 11:58 AM
ON June 20, a Palestinian woman took advantage of a humanitarian medical clearance to attempt a suicide bombing of an Israeli hospital. Israeli security caught Wafa al-Bas at a Gaza checkpoint and safely detonated the explosives that had been tied to her undergarments.
This episode highlights three important points that remain largely ignored or misrepresented in media coverage of the Mideast conflict:
1) SUICIDE TERROR: ASPIRATION, NOT DESPERATION
Al-Bas explained to reporters why she carried out the act:
I love Allah, I love the land of Palestine and I am a member of Al-Aksa Brigades... my dream was to be a martyr. I believe in death... Since I was a little girl I wanted to carry out an attack.
Though media outlets often rationalize Palestinian suicide terror as a 'desperate' response to Israeli wrongdoing, al-Bas' statement is the latest indication that the main motivation for the heinous crime is a twisted, lifelong aspiration to achieve 'greatness' via mass murder.
A primary source of this problem is incitement in Palestinian media and culture. On Sunday (June 19) PA President Mahmoud Abbas told Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and western reporters that official Palestinian media 'no longer incites against Israel'.
But very little has actually changed. As documented by Palestinian Media Watch, imagery promoting violence against 'illegitimate' Israelis and 'conspiratorial' Jews remains prominent in official Palestinian TV and newspapers. This is a direct violation of the PA's roadmap commitment for 'all official Palestinian institutions [to] end incitement against Israel', and it continues to fuel the ideology behind acts such as al-Bas'.
2) IMPORTANCE OF ISRAELI CHECKPOINTS
The latest Amnesty International report accused Israel of 'crimes against humanity and war crimes' that included 'obstruction of medical assistance'. Such reports invariably receive broad, uncritical media coverage that lacks appropriate context.
Al-Bas' act, however, clearly demonstrates the need for strict Israeli administration of checkpoints and medical permits. She is the latest in a long string of Palestinian terrorists who cynically used their status as medical patients or modest women to perpetrate terror attacks.
An important condemnation of al-Bas was carried only in the LA Times:
"We utterly condemn this action in every respect," said Shabtai Gold, a spokesman for Physicians for Human Rights-Israel, which is often critical of Israeli authorities for impeding Palestinian access to medical care inside Israel.
IDF spokeswoman Sharon Finegold put the matter in perspective: 'These terror organizations are not only the enemies of the Israelis but also of the Palestinian people themselves, who suffer as a result of this abuse of the young, the sick, the wounded.'
3) PA EMBRACING, NOT STOPPING TERRORISTS
According to a Haaretz report, Israeli security received a tip on al-Bas' imminent attack, and gave the PA and Abbas detailed information regarding it, but the PA did not act.
Al-Bas' thwarted effort followed on the heels of a brutal ambush of an Israeli civilian car in the West Bank (pictured), which killed 28-year old Yigveny Rider.
The PA continues to do very little to fulfill its roadmap obligation to uproot terror groups, choosing instead to incorporate terrorist operatives into its political and security leadership.
Media outlets continue to ignore this violation of the signed agreement, describing it as a mere 'Israeli demand', as in this UPI report on yesterday's Palestinian violence:
These seemed to be "perfect" examples for Prime Minister Ariel Sharon who Tuesday afternoon is to host Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in his official residence in central Jerusalem... Sharon never seems to tire demanding a complete cessation of terrorism, violence and incitement, dismantling terrorist organizations and collecting their weapons.
UPI's jab at Sharon is both an unprofessional editorial comment inserted in a news article, and a complete misrepresentation of the PA's own commitment to the world community to uproot terrorism from its midst.

The most common myth perpetuated by America’s Muslim leaders—and sadly, much of the Left—is that Israel is the source of the world’s problems. History says otherwise.
Wahhabism started in Saudi Arabia two centuries before the creation of the Jewish state, and the granddaddy of all modern-day terrorists, Muslim Brotherhood, also got the jump on Israel, launching more than two decades earlier. Yet the doctrine of the Muslim leadership is that creating a Palestinian state will eliminate terrorism.
Top ten reasons why Islam is the religion "of peace"
by James M. Arlandson
Wednesday, Jul. 27, 2005 at 7:17 AM
Ever since 9/11, Muslim leaders who have access to the national media have told us that Islam is the religion of peace and that violence does not represent the essence of Muhammad’s religion.
Even President Bush and Britain’s Prime Minister Blair have repeated this assertion, saying that Islam has been "hijacked" by a few violent fanatics. Is this true?
Sadly it is not, for empirical, observable facts demonstrate beyond doubt that Islam at its founding is filled with violence—in the life of Muhammad himself and in the Quran itself.
Hence, these Muslim apologists must stop misleading unsuspecting Westerners, and they must be honest about the heart of their religion, for once and for all.
Here are ten clear, verifiable reasons that explain why Islam is not the religion of peace.
Clear? In order to prevent the standard, reflexive "out of context" defense from Muslim apologists, the context of each verse in the Quran is explained either in this article or in the links provided within each of the ten reasons. No verse is taken out of context, and Muslim translations are used.
Verifiable? The readers are invited to look up each verse in the Quran in multiple translations, by visiting the website http://www.quranbrowser.com and typing in references, like so: 61:10-12. (61 is the chapter or sura, and 10-12 are the verses).
10. Muhammad nicknames his weapons.
Tabari (AD 839-923) is an early Muslim historian who is considered largely reliable by scholars today. In fact, the State University of New York Press selected his history to be translated into 38 volumes. (We use The Last Years of the Prophet, trans. Ismail K. Poonawala, 9:153-55.)
In the context of the list of Muhammad’s assets at the end of his life (horses, camels, milch sheep, and so on), Tabari records the nicknames of Muhammad weapons.
Muhammad nicknames three swords that he took from the Jewish tribe Qaynuqa after he banished them from Medina in April 624: "Pluck Out," "Very Sharp," and "Death." Two other swords from elsewhere are named: "Sharp" and "That is wont to sink" (presumably into human flesh). After his Hijrah or Emigration from Mecca to Medina in 622, he owned two swords called "Sharp" and "Having the vertebrae of the back." This last sword he collected as booty after his victory at the Battle of Badr in March 624.
Next, Muhammad took three bows from the Qaynuqa tribe and named them as follows: "Most conducive to ease, or wide," "white," and "of nab wood" (species of tree from which bows are made).
The name of a coat of mail implies "ampleness" or "redundant portions," probably because Muhammad was portly (cf. Ibn Ishaq, Life of Muhammad, trans. Guillaume, p. 383).
Finally, even Muhammad himself has a nickname. After Tabari lists the positive ones, he matter-of-factly provides one that is not so positive: "The obliterator."
Muslim apologists may object that Tabari is not authoritative (except when he shows Muhammad as heroic or victorious) and that he is not on the same level as the Quran and some hadiths (words and deeds of Muhammad outside of the Quran). This is true. But Muslim apologists still must answer why such a tradition of naming weapons developed about Muhammad. After all, later, unauthoritative traditions about Christ developed, but they do not show him even owning weapons, let alone naming them. The answer to this question about Muhammad is found in the next nine reasons.
Thus, violence sits at the heart of early Islam—in the life of Muhammad. Islam is therefore not the religion of peace.
9. Muhammad commands in his Quran that adulterers and adulteresses should receive a hundred lashes.
24:2 Strike the adulteress and the adulterer one hundred times. Do not let compassion for them keep you from carrying out God’s law—if you believe in God and the Last Day—and ensure that a group of believers witnesses the punishment. (MAS Abdel Haleem, The Quran, New York: Oxford UP, 2004)
The supposed historical context of this sura occurs during a raid of a tribe in December 627 or January 628, on which Muhammad brought his favorite and youngest wife, Aisha, also the daughter of Abu Bakr, his right-hand lieutenant. After the Muslims’ victory, they journeyed back to Medina, one hundred and fifty miles to the north. On their last halt, Aisha answered the call of nature, but lost her necklace in the dark, just as the army was setting out from their encampment early in the morning. She left her litter, returned to look for the necklace, and found it. Meanwhile, the man leading her camel assumed she was in her curtained litter and led the animal away by the halter. Returning, Aisha saw that she was left behind.
However, a handsome young Muslim named Safwan saw her and accompanied her back to Medina, though both the Muslims and Muhammad’s opposition wagged their tongues at seeing the two youngsters entering the city together. Eventually, revelation came that Aisha was not guilty of any immorality.
Sura 24 thus establishes some ground rules against adultery, of which flogging one hundred times is one of the rules. Amazingly, 24:2 exhorts the accusers and judges not to let compassion keep them from carrying out God’s law.
Moreover, early and reliable traditions depict Muhammad and his Muslims stoning adulterers and adulteresses, as recorded by the two most reliable collectors and editors of the hadith, Bukhari (AD 810-870) and Muslim (c. AD 817-875):
Umar said: God sent Muhammad with the truth and sent down the Book [Quran] to him, and the verse of stoning was included in what God most high sent down. God’s messenger [Muhammad] had people stoned to death, and we have done it also since his death. Stoning is a duty laid down in God’s Book for married men and women who commit fornication when proof is established, or if there is pregnancy, or a confession.
Umar was Muhammad’s right-hand lieutenant (along with Abu Bakr), and even shortly after Muhammad’s death he tried very hard to get a verse allowing stoning into the Quran, but he did not succeed (Ibn Ishaq, Life of Muhammad, trans. Guillaume, p. 684). Be that as it may, this and the next hadith are sufficient for many Muslims today to endorse stoning, as seen here: [1], [2], [3], [4].
Perhaps the most gruesome hadith is the following. A woman came to the prophet and asked for purification (by being punished for her sin). He told her to go away and seek God’s forgiveness. She persisted four times and admitted that she was pregnant as a result of fornication. He told her to wait until she had given birth. Then he said that the Muslim community should wait until she had weaned her child. When the day arrived for the child to take solid food, Muhammad handed the child over to the community and ordered the woman’s death by stoning.
And when he had given command over her and she was put in a hole up to her breast, he ordered the people to stone her. Khalid b. al-Walid came forward with a stone which he threw at her head, and when the blood spurted on his face he cursed her ... (Muslim, No. 4206)
It is true that Muhammad told Khalid to be gentler, but how gentle does one have to be when one throws a rock at a woman buried up to her breasts? Is the rock required to go only 30 miles per hour or 40? Perhaps Muhammad was ordering Khalid not to curse her. In any case, the prophet prayed over her dead body and then buried her. Truthfully, how effective was the prayer when Muhammad and his community murdered her in cold blood? They should have forgiven her and let her go to raise her child.
Even if some Muslim apologists today do not accept these hadiths, then they still have to answer why the true God would send down the harsh punishment of lashing in the Quran (Sura 24:2), when the New Testament says nothing about this. Christians should therefore rightly reject this verse, for Christ forgave the woman caught in adultery and told her to go and sin no more (John 8:1-11). He showed us the better way and taught the will of the true God.
For more information on this early punishment and how it is applied today, refer to this article, which also answers Muslim apologists and explains John 8:1-11 more thoroughly.
Thus, cruel violence sits at the heart of early Islam—in Muhammad’s life and in his Quran. Islam is therefore not the religion of peace.
8. Muhammad in his Quran permits husbands to beat their wives.
4:34 Husbands should take full care of their wives, with [the bounties] God has given to some more than others and with what they spend out of their own money. Righteous wives are devout and guard what God would have them guard in the husbands’ absence. If you fear high-handedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great. (Haleem)
Written in the historical context of the Battle of Uhud (March 625), in which Islam lost 70 holy warriors, this verse belongs to a larger collection of verses that outlines laws for the family, such as how to divide the inheritance and to how to oversee the assets of orphans (vv. 1-35).
Plainly said, Sura 4:34 specifies that husbands may beat their unruly wives if the husbands "fear" highhandedness, quite apart from whether the wives are actually being highhanded. This puts the interpretation of the wives’ behavior squarely in the husbands’ judgment, and this swings the door to abuse wide open. This verse embodies a gigantic cultural and social step backwards and should be rejected by all fair-minded and reasonable people.
For a more thorough analysis of this hurtful practice, refer to this article.
Thus, domestic violence sits at the heart of early Islam—in the life of Muhammad and his Quran. Islam is therefore not the religion of peace.
7. Muhammad in his Quran commands that the hands of male or female thieves should be cut off.
5:38 Cut off the hands of thieves, whether they are male or female, as punishment for what they have done—a deterrent from God: God is almighty and wise. 39 But if anyone repents after his wrongdoing and makes amends, God will accept his repentance: God is most forgiving and merciful. (Haleem)
Three passages in the hadith interpret Muhammad’s policy and provide its context. This is a quick compilation taken from Bukhari and Muslim:
Aisha [favorite wife of Muhammad] reported the Prophet saying, "A thief’s hand should be cut off for only a quarter of a dinar and upwards."
A dinar, a word taken from the Roman denarius, was not a small sum, but not exorbitant either, yet one-fourth of a dinar merits the loss of a hand in Muhammad’s view.
Ibn Umar said the Prophet had a thief’s hand cut off for a shield worth three dirhams.
The shield was fairly expensive. The poor in Muhammad’s armies could not afford one. But is a shield equal to a hand?
Abu Huraira reported the Prophet as saying, "God curse a thief who steals an egg and has his hand cut off, and steals a rope and has his hand cut off!"
Some commentators are quick to say that an "egg" is really a helmet, and the rope is a ship’s rope, which is sizable and costly. However, the translation above is usually accepted, and this means that the penalty could be imposed for trivial thefts. But even if the more expensive items are in view here, they still do not measure up to a hand.
For more information on this gruesome practice and its historical context, consult this article, which answers Muslim apologists who seek to defend this practice and which also contrasts Christ with Muhammad. Suffice it to say here, Christ never endorsed this. And Paul the Apostle says that thieves should work with their hands in order to share with those in need, not get their hand cut off (Ephesians 4:28). So Paul excels Muhammad.
Thus, harsh and excessive punitive violence sits at the heart of early Islam—in Muhammad’s life and in the Quran. Islam is therefore not the religion of peace.
6. Muhammad assassinates poets and poetesses.
These two poets represent others in early Islam.
March 624: Uqba bin Abu Muayt
Uqba mocked Muhammad in Mecca and wrote derogatory verses about him. He was captured during the Battle of Badr, and Muhammad ordered him to be executed. "But who will look after my children, O Muhammad?" Uqba cried with anguish. "Hell," retorted the prophet coldly. Then the sword of one of his followers cut through Uqba’s neck.
March 624: Asma bint Marwan
Asma was a poetess who belonged to a tribe of Medinan pagans, and whose husband was named Yazid b. Zayd. She composed a poem blaming the Medinan pagans for obeying a stranger (Muhammad) and for not taking the initiative to attack him by surprise. When the prophet heard what she had said, he asked, "Who will rid me of Marwan’s daughter?" A member of her husband’s tribe volunteered and crept into her house that night. She had five children, and the youngest was sleeping at her breast. The assassin gently removed the child, drew his sword, and plunged it into her, killing her in her sleep.
The following morning, the assassin defied anyone to take revenge. No one took him up on his challenge, not even her husband. In fact, Islam became powerful among his tribe. Previously, some members who had kept their conversion secret now became Muslims openly, "because they saw the power of Islam," so conjectures an early Muslim source that reports the assassination.
In addition to the sources that recount these and other assassinations, the Quran also supports harsh punishments for mockers and insulters (Suras 3:186; 33:57; 33:59-61; and 9:61-63).
However, even if Muslims reject the early non-Quranic sources where these assassinations are found, they still must answer these questions: Why would such a tradition grow up around Muhammad in friendly Islamic sources? What was it about Muhammad that produced such reports? Why are these friendly sources eager to present their prophet in a "positive" way?
For an in-depth analysis of Muhammad’s assassinations of poets and how they justify assassinations of artists today, like the one of Theo van Gogh, the Dutch filmmaker, refer to this article, which also answers the Muslim apologists who try to justify Muhammad’s deadly policy, and which contrasts early Christianity with early Islam—Jesus assassinated no one, neither did he order this in the Gospels.
Thus, bullying and murderous violence sits at the heart of early Islam—in Muhammad’s life and in the Quran. Islam is therefore not the religion of peace.
5. Muhammad in his Quran commands death or the cutting off of hands and feet for fighting and corrupting the land.
5:33 Indeed, the punishment of those who fight Allah and His Messenger and who go around corrupting the land is to be killed, crucified, have their hands and feet cut off on opposite sides, or to be banished from the land. That is a disgrace for them in this life, and in the life to come theirs will be a terrible punishment. 34 Except for those who repent before you overpower them. Know, then, that Allah is All-Forgiving, Merciful. (Majid Fakhry, An Interpretation of the Quran, New York: NYUP, 2000, 2004)
According to the hadith, the historical context of these verses runs as follows and clarifies "fighting" and "corrupting" the land.
Some Arab tribesmen visited the prophet, but fell sick in the uncongenial climate of Medina, so he recommended an old folk belief: drinking the milk and urine of a camel. Subsequently, they are reported to have felt better. However, for some reason, after departing from Medina, they killed some of Muhammad’s shepherds, turned apostate, and drove off the prophet’s camels.
This news reached him, and he ordered them to be hunted down and brought before him. He decreed that their hands and feet should be cut off, their eyes gouged out, and their bodies thrown upon stony ground until they died.
For more information on this policy that punishes people today based on Sura 5:33, even on ambiguous charges like colonialism, racism, and the disintegration of family relationships see here, and for a reply to Muslim apologists, refer to this article, which also contrasts Christ with Muhammad.
Thus, gruesome violence sits at the heart of early Islam—in Muhammad’s life and in the Quran. Islam is therefore not the religion of peace.
4. Muhammad aggressively attacks Meccan caravans.
A year or so after Muhammad’s Hijrah from Mecca to Medina in 622, he attacks Meccan caravans six times, and sent out a punitive expedition three-days away against an Arab tribe that stole some Medinan grazing camels (or cattle), totaling seven raids.
W. Montgomery Watt, a highly reputable Western Islamologist who writes in favor of Muhammad and whose two-volume history of early Islam (Muhammad at Mecca (1953) and Muhammad at Medina (1956)) has won wide acceptance, tells us why geography matters:
The chief point to notice is that the Muslims took the offensive. With one exception the seven expeditions were directed against Meccan caravans. The geographical situation lent itself to this. Caravans from Mecca to Syria had to pass between Medina and the coast. Even if they kept as close to the Red Sea as possible, they had to pass within about eighty miles of Medina, and, while at this distance from the enemy base, would be twice as far from their own base. (Muhammad at Medina, emphasis added, p. 2)
It must be emphatically stated that the Meccans never sent a force up to the doorstep of Medina at this time—they did later on when they were fed up with Muhammad’s aggressions. It is true that the Meccans gathered forces to protect their caravans, but when Muhammad confronted them, they were many days’ journeys away from Medina, often more than eighty miles. (Medina and Mecca are around 200-250 miles from each other, taking seven to eleven days of travel by foot, horse, or camel.)
Hence, two Muslim scholar-apologists are misleading when they assert that the caravans "passed through" Medina, adding that the Muslims haphazardly sought for whatever spoils they could get, whereas the Meccans mobilized for war (Isma’il R. al-Faruqi and Lois Lamya’al Faruqi, The Cultural Atlas of Islam, New York: Macmillan, 1986, 134). Rather, it is more accurate to say that the Muslims were aggressively harassing the Meccans.
To complete the picture of expeditions, raids and wars in Muhammad’s life from 622 to 632, Watt totals up the number that Muhammad either sent out or went out on: seventy-four (Muhammad at Medina, pp. 2; 339-43). They range from negotiations (only a few compared to the violent expeditions), to small assassination hit squads, to the conquest of Mecca with 10,000 jihadists, and to the confrontation of Byzantine Christians (who never showed up), with 30,000 holy warriors to Tabuk (see below).
For a fuller account of these six early aggressive attacks against Meccan caravans, go to this article, which explains more thoroughly why these attacks are not defensive.
Thus, aggressive military violence sits at the heart of early Islam—in Muhammad’s life and in the Quran. Islam is therefore not the religion of peace.
3. Muhammad in his Quran promises sensuous Gardens for martyrs dying in a military holy war.
Throughout the Quran, Muhammad promises the men in his fledgling Muslim community that if they die fighting for Allah and for him, Allah will reward them with a "virgin-rich" Garden (Suras 44:51-56; 52:17-29; 55:46-78).
In the following Quranic passage, representing others (Suras 4:74, 9:111; 3:140-143), the Arabic word "jihad" (root is j-h-d) is the means or currency to trade in this life for the life to come in an economic bargain.
61:10 You who believe, shall I show you a bargain that will save you from painful punishment? 11 Have faith in God and His Messenger and struggle [j-h-d] for His cause with your possessions and your persons—that is better for you, if only you knew—12 and He will forgive your sins, admit you into Gardens graced with flowing streams, into pleasant dwellings in the Gardens of Eternity. That is the supreme triumph. (Haleem)
These verses are found in the historical context of the Battle of Uhud (625), in which Muhammad lost 70 of his fighters. Thus, he must make the loss of life appear worth the sacrifice, so he frames their deaths in an economic bargain (note the word in bold print). If his jihadists trade in or sell their lives down here, they will be granted Islamic heaven—it is a done deal.
For an in-depth analysis of Islamic martyrdom and how Biblical martyrdom opposes it, consult this article. Christ’s "Martyrdom" on the cross opens the way to heaven so that Christians do not have to die in a holy war to reach heaven.
Thus, deadly, ‘heavenly violence’ sits at the heart of early Islam—in Muhammad’s life and in the Quran. Islam is therefore not the religion of peace.
2. Muhammad unjustly executes around 600 male Jews and enslaves the women and children.
After the Battle of the Trench in March 627 (named after a trench that the Muslims dug around parts of Medina) against a large coalition of Meccans and their allies, Muhammad imposed the ultimate penalty on the men in the Jewish clan, Qurayzah, his third and final Jewish rivals (he banished the Qaynuqa tribe in April 624 and the Nadir tribe in August 625). The Qurayzah tribe was supposed to remain neutral in the Battle, but they seem to have intrigued with the Meccans and to have been on the verge of attacking Muhammad from the rear. They were judged guilty by one of their Medinan Muslim allies, though Muhammad could have shown mercy, exiled them (as indeed they requested), or executed only a few.
The sentence: Death by decapitation for around 600 men (some Islamic sources say 900), and enslavement for the women and children (he took a beautiful Jewess as his own prize). Muhammad was wise enough to have six clans execute two Jews each in order to stop any blood-feuds. The rest of the executions were probably carried out by his fellow Emigrants from Mecca and lasted the whole night.
The prophet says the following in Sura 33:25-26 about the Battle of the Trench and his treatment of Qurayzah:
33:25 God sent back the disbelievers along with their rage—they gained no benefit—and spared the believers from fighting. He is strong and mighty. 26 He brought those People of the Book [Qurayza] who supported them down from their strongholds and put terror into their hearts. Some of them you [believers] killed and some you took captive. 27 He passed on to you their land, their homes, their possessions, and a land where you had not set foot. God has power over everything. (Haleem)
Now this atrocity has been enshrined in the eternal word of Allah—and the Quran seems to celebrate it. But these questions must be answered: Is intriguing with the enemy equal to slaughtering 600 men and enslaving the women and children? Who decides? The Arab tribal chief with the most powerful army? Muhammad said around the time of his Hijrah in 622 the following:
16:126 If you [people] have to respond to an attack, make your response proportionate, but it is better to be steadfast. (Haleem)
Any reasonable and fair-minded person would judge that Muhammad was not making his response (execution) proportionate to the breach of the agreement. The Qurayzah tribe never attacked the Muslims, and even if a few were to have done so, the punishment does not fit the crime. Therefore, Muhammad was being excessive and disproportionate because he used an irreversible penalty to express his human wrath.
For a fuller account of this atrocity, refer to this article.
Thus, anti-Semitic violence sits at the heart of early Islam—in Muhammad’s life and in his Quran. Islam is therefore not the religion of peace.
1. Muhammad launches his own Crusades.
In the following verse, Muhammad uses the Arabic word qital (root is q-t-l), which means warring, fighting, or killing:
9:29 Fight [q-t-l] those among the people of the Book [Christians] who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden and do not profess the true religion, till they pay the poll-tax out of hand and submissively. (Fakhry)
The two most interesting clauses in this violent verse are (1) People of the Book (Christians in this verse late in Muhammad’s life) are to be attacked if they do not profess the true religion: Islam. This leaves the door wide open for terrorists today to attack and fight Christians because they do not adhere to Islam; (2) Christians must pay a tax for the "privilege" of living under the "protection" of Islam—submissively or in humiliation.
The historical context of Sura 9:29 finds Muhammad preparing for a military expedition against the Byzantine Empire in 630, two years before his ordinary death of a fever in 632. Indeed, some scholars regard Sura 9 as the last sura to be revealed from on high. Therefore, it sets many policies for Muslims today, and is often interpreted as abrogating or canceling previous verses, even peaceful ones.
Muhammad heard a rumor that the Byzantines amassed an army some 700 miles to the north in Tabuk (northern Arabia today) in order to attack Islam, so he led an army of 30,000 holy warriors to counter-strike preemptively. However, the Byzantines failed to materialize, so Muhammad’s belief in the false rumor was misguided and his expedition was fruitless, except he managed to extract (extort) agreements from northern Christian Arab tribes that they would not attack him and his community. An army of 30,000 soldiers from the south must have deeply impressed the northern tribes, so they posed no real threat to Islam. They are the ones who paid the "protection" tax mentioned in Sura 9:29 (and so do tribes and cities after Muhammad’s death). Therefore, Muhammad’s forced tax was aggressive and hence unjust, not defensive and hence just.
Muhammad’s military expedition qualifies as an Islamic Crusade long before the European ones. After all, in 638, only six years after Muhammad’s death, Muslim armies conquer Jerusalem. Today, Muslims should never again complain about European Crusades, unless they first come to grips with their own.
For more information on the Muslim Crusades after Muhammad’s death and their atrocities and motives, refer to these articles (one, two).
Thus, crusading violence sits at the heart of early Islam—in Muhammad’s life and in his Quran—and beyond, even reaching to today’s western world. Islam is therefore not the religion peace.
What the ten reasons mean for us today
These ten aspects of violence that have burrowed into the hemorrhaging heart of early Islam have eight implications for us today. The first three are theological; the rest are practical.
The theological implications are as follows:
First, as each reason in this article has hinted at and the links explain more thoroughly, Christ never, ever engaged in such violence. For example, he never assassinated opponents, whipped adulterers, cut off the hands of thieves, or launched his own Crusades (what the Medieval Europeans did is not foundational to Christianity). Christ expresses the love of God. Therefore, Christians and all fair-minded persons have the right to question whether the true God would reveal the Quran when it contains such violent verses that conveniently support Muhammad’s violence, whereas the New Testament does not have such violence.
Second, Muslims believe that the New Testament is corrupted, whereas the Quran is inerrant. Even if we assume only for the sake of argument that these claims are true (but they actually are not), then why would reasonable seekers of the truth prefer the "pure" but violence-filled Quran over the "corrupted" but peaceful New Testament?
Before Muhammad is allowed to throw around unsubstantiated charges about alleged New Testament corruption, he and his Quran must pass a down-to-earth test regarding his dubious, violent practices. But he and it fail the test badly, as this article demonstrates, whereas Christ and the New Testament pass with a perfect score. Therefore, if Muhammad is so wrong about down-to-earth matters like whipping adulterers and cutting off the hands of thieves and beating wives, then he is likely wrong about unresearched accusations of New Testament corruption—and factually he is wrong.
Please refer to the articles listed on these pages for more information: [1], [2].
Third, since Muhammad who claims divine guidance is so wrong about practical matters, why should we believe him about theoretical matters like the deity of Christ and the Trinity, both of which he denies? Clearly, he was not divinely guided in practical matters because the true God would not degrade religion by endorsing such gruesome violence six hundred years after Christ came—the historical span is critical. Christ and the New Testament do not have even one example of such violence. Again, if Muhammad first fails the down-to-earth test, then he likely fails the theological or theoretical test—we have no reason to believe him in such high doctrines, especially since he was no theologian and his revelations are now empirically suspect.
The practical implications of the top ten reasons are as follows:
Fourth, nominal Christians who no longer take their faith seriously, but who are tempted to convert to Islam, must stop to think a second time. Christ the Son of God demonstrates the love of God (Matt. 3:16-17), not the wrath of an ordinary, self-described human messenger (Sura 3:144). Why would they trade in the religion of God’s peace and love for Allah’s human religion of violence?
Fifth, fanatical Muslims today are simply carrying on their prophet’s mission. Why should we be surprised if they want to conquer the West, in order to impose Allah’s will on non-Islamic societies? They are still working out Muhammad’s Crusades and trying to put a halt to the reality embodied in this simple logic:
(1) If A, then B. If Allah endorses Islam, then it should expand endlessly.
(2) Not-B. But it is not expanding endlessly (see this analysis).
(3) Therefore, not-A. Therefore, Allah does not endorse Islam.
This logic eats away at the heart of fanatics, especially premise two, even if they are not conscious of it in this logical form. What is stopping the endless expansion of Islam, according to the fanatics? Their answer: the US and even the very existence of the Jewish State of Israel in the heart of the Middle East. The fanatics have yet to uproot the Jews, despite three wars, which the Arabs lost. This tiny non-Islamic, Jewish State in their neighborhood slaps them in the face every day. How could Allah let this happen? Hence, premise two is the deepest reason that they have been launching attacks on the US and the West and Israel for the last two decades and why Osama bin Laden ignited 9/11. For more information on three Quranic verses that predict the worldwide dominance of Islam and that provide the motives for fanatics, refer to this article. And for more information on bin Laden’s motives specifically, go here.
Sixth, as noted in the introduction to this article, Muslim apologists who have access to the national media and who constantly assert that Islam is the religion of peace must stop misleading unsuspecting Westerners. Factually, Islam is not the religion of peace. True, it had peaceful moments, but not for very long. Muhammad sent out or went out on seventy-four expeditions, raids, and wars in only ten years (622-632), most of which were violent.
Seventh, western civilization must never accept the lie that Muhammad’s life, the Quran, and sharia (the law derived from the hadith and the Quran) are benefits to society. Rather, Islam represents many gigantic steps backwards, culturally and socially. One of the most tragic events in the western world in recent years—and one of the most underreported—is the existence of an Islamic court in Canada. Muslims are pushing for a sharia divorce court in Australia, as well. The Canadian government should promptly shut it down, and Australia should never allow one. And such a court must never be allowed to exist here in the US or elsewhere in the West. Sharia does not benefit society, bluntly stated.
Eighth and finally, Islam should never be taught in our public schools, K through 11. Perhaps grade 12 is acceptable, but only on one condition. If school administrators insist on teaching it, Islamic violence must be included in the lesson plans because it is part and parcel of early Islam and Muhammad’s life.
Of course, Muslim apologists assert that Christianity is filled with violence, citing the Roman Emperor Constantine and the Medieval Crusaders. However, to repeat, they are not foundational for Christianity—only Christ and the New Testament are. And he and the New Testament authors never practiced or endorsed such violence.
On the other hand, Muhammad and his Quran are foundational for Islam, and violence fills his life and its pages.
Therefore, for ten clear and verifiable reasons, Islam is not the religion of peace.

Where is the Gandhi of Islam? If Islam were peaceful, why does it not produce prominent champions for peace that find broad support in the community? All we see is a few Muslims making half-harted statements after another terror attack, but nobody rallies great support in the community for the purpose to get rid of and end terrorism, and consistently works for this goal. Every Muslim in Britain should be cooperating with the authorities to track down the guilty. Every person in every mosque in Britain and the West and elsewhere should report radicals meeting in their house of worship and planning acts of violence. Why don't they do this?
Martyrdom, the Economy of Death
by Abdullah
Wednesday, Jul. 27, 2005 at 8:09 AM
Yet another suicide-homicide bomber strikes Tel Aviv. A suicide car bomber in Iraq killed the most civilians (120) ever so far in a single blast. They were waiting to join the police and National Guard, signing up near a medical clinic.
Islamic suicide-homicide bombers are relentless. Many national Iraqi terrorists as well as foreign fighters who have traveled to Iraq from neighboring nations dream of achieving martyrdom. They casually walk up to mosques and a US Mess Hall in Iraq and detonate bombs strapped to their bodies under their clothing.
Muslim leaders in the West who have access to the national media tell unsuspecting Westerners that Islam is the religion of peace and that terrorists are only an aberration. While the leaders reassure us, another human bomb goes off.
Where is the truth between the two extremes?
If Islam is the religion of peace, then what inspires the terrorists? Political leaders?
Maybe. The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in a speech at Ayatollah Khomeini’s Mausoleum, June 4, 2002, supports the Palestinian suicide-homicide martyrdoms that are deliberately carried out on innocent Israelis.
Let me say to you: these stances [of American administrators on suicide bombings] will not be of any use. This quest for martyrdom is not based on emotions; it is based on belief in Islam and faith in [the] Judgment Day and faith in life after death. Anywhere Islam exists in its true sense, arrogance faces this threat.
These words of the Supreme Leader of Iran constitute a serious indictment against Islam. It should no longer be claimed that suicide-homicide bombings are supported only in the dark corners of the Islamic world; rather, the Supreme Leader himself supports this death-cult. Speaking the truth, he says that homicide bombers do not commit their atrocities out of emotions, but out of the core doctrines of Islam: the Last Day and life after death. Thus, he asserts that Islam in its "true sense"—martyrdoms by homicide bombing—threatens arrogance, that is, the US and Israel.
MEMRI TV also has a video clip and a transcript of an interview with a "martyrdom seeker" who will fight all Zionists. These "seekers" (the report speaks of 40,000) will also attack America and Great Britain, becoming human bombs.
Does the dark prince of terrorism, Osama bin Laden, inspire evil martyrdom operations?
In his 1996 Fatwa declaring war on the US, bin Laden quotes a hadith passage (Muhammad’s words and deeds outside of the Quran) that has the prophet describing heaven for the martyrs fallen in a holy war. The first moment blood gushes, they are guaranteed Islamic heaven. They receive crowns, jewels, and seventy-two dark-eyed houris or beautiful maidens, for each martyr.
[A] martyr’s privileges are guaranteed by Allah; forgiveness with the first gush of his blood, he will be shown his seat in paradise, he will be decorated with the jewels of belief, married off to the beautiful ones, protected from the test in the grave, assured security in the day of judgment, crowned with the crown of dignity, a ruby of which is better than this whole world and its entire content, wedded to seventy-two of the pure Houris (beautiful women of Paradise) and his intercession on the behalf of seventy of his relatives will be accepted.
This hadith source that bin Laden cites puts together different Quranic passages describing Islamic heaven, complete with beautiful virgins (Suras 44:51-56; 52:17-29; 55:46-78), with those describing the immediate reward of heaven for jihadist martyrs (Suras 61:10-12; 4:74; 9:111). (For multiple translations of these "virgin verses" and other sensuous descriptions of Islamic heaven, go to this site, and type in the references: 44:51-56; 52:17-29; 55:46-78.)
Where does this evil doctrine of martyrdom in a battle come from? The answer to the question is that Khamenei and bin Laden are not the deepest sources of inspiration for martyrdom bombers. If they were, we could stop terrorism quickly. Sad to report, these two evil-doers, as well the faceless human bombs, get their inspiration from the Quran itself. Islam at its core is not the religion of peace, but violence sits in the origins of Islam.
Suras 61:10-12, 4:74, and 9:111 guarantee Islamic martyrs heaven in an economic bargain. Indeed, these three references explicitly use words that connote buying and selling and signing a contract of sale, and the currency behind the deals is death by martyrdom.
Deducing claims from these verses and using the logic of evil, suicide-homicide bombers with modern and private weapons accept this bargain and throw themselves into battle against disciples of the Great Satan (the US) and the little Satan (Israel). Derived from these verses, the martyrs’ death-acts show their total surrender to Allah; they count their lives as nothing compared with their devotion to him and security in achieving heaven. So Allah is pleased—it is a done deal.
To explain how the economy of this death-cult and the derived evil logic originate in the Quran, a specific exegetical method is used. First, Muslim translators are cited so that they, not Westerners, speak for their religion. Second, the historical context is outlined because it sheds light on the words in the verses themselves. Third, the literary context of each passage is summarized because the words in the targeted passages take on meaning from the surrounding verses. These second and third steps not only elucidate the meaning within the key verses, they also prevent the standard, reflexive "out of context" defense from Muslim apologists. Fourth, we interpret the verses themselves. Finally, one of the analyzed passages and another’s literary context invite a comparison with the Torah and the Gospels, so we end the article accepting this invitation.
Suffice it to say, the Torah and especially the Gospels do not have this death-cult of martyrdom in military battles or in any context. The later religion of Islam, picking and choosing ideas from the two earlier religions—especially Christianity in this case—degrades and distorts the positive call to total devotion to God—the historical context makes all the differences in the world between the first two religions and the later one.
Sura 61:10-12
In this passage, the Arabic word "jihad" (root is j-h-d) is the means or currency to trade in this life for the life to come.
(M.A.S. Abdel Haleem, The Qur'an, Oxford University Press, 2004)
Other translators agree with Haleem’s "bargain" (t-j-r) in bold print, but render the key word as follows: "profitable course" (Dawood, not a Muslim, but an Iraqi), "merchandise" (Shakir and Maulana), and "trade" (Fakhry, Hilali and Khan, and the team of scholars translating Ibn Kathir). Regardless of the various words, they still convey the central meaning of an economic exchange.
It is difficult to pin down the historical context of Sura 61:10-12 because internal evidence directly bearing on external events is slim; the sura, after all, is only fourteen verses long. Reputable scholars, though, place the sura not long after the Battle of Uhud in March 625 (so named after a hill to the north of Medina), which pitted the Muslims against the Meccans. This battle was the Meccan riposte to the surprise victory of the Muslims over the Meccans in the Battle of Badr a year earlier in March. But in this present case, the Meccans got the better of the Islamic community. Muhammad was rumored even to be have been killed, but he was actually chased up into higher ground. The Muslim defeat stung at first, but that night, burying their dead, Muhammad realized that he did not lose substantially, so he sent a raiding party the next morning to confront the Meccans, who had stayed in the vicinity because Arab custom demanded that an army returning from battle must not appear to retreat, a sign of weakness. The leader of the Meccans was not in a position to attack, for he suffered losses too, so eventually he and his army made their way back to Mecca.
Moreover, the sura may have been revealed later than Uhud, but still in 625. In this case the Muslims are gaining ground despite the slight loss at Uhud, because they expelled the Jewish Nadir tribe from Medina in August 625 on the flimsy charge of refusal to pay blood-wit (compensation for loss of life) and a revelation that members of the tribe were attempting to assassinate him. (For more on this expulsion, refer to this article.)
The larger historical context of Sura 61:10-12, then, is warfare with the Meccans and other outsiders and internal conflict in Medina, all of which the Muslim community managed to overcome.
The literary context—the eleven verses surrounding vv. 10-12—reveal five themes. First, Muhammad scolds the hypocrites (nominal Muslims who do not jump when Muhammad cracks the whip) for promising to do things, but not following through, in the context of fighting in solid lines or ranks in the cause of Allah (vv. 3-4). This faction of "conscientious objectors" does not wish to join Muhammad in his wars. Second, it is interesting that the sura is entitled "Solid Lines" because of v. 4; Allah loves it when his soldiers line up neatly in battle. This neatness of lining up is reminiscent of Muslims lining up to pray. According to reliable hadiths, Muhammad placed orderly marks on the floor in his mosque so his Muslims would pray in rows. Third, the word "fighting" in v. 4 comes from qital (root is q-t-l), which means only warring and killing. Fourth, Muhammad appeals to Moses and Jesus as inspirations because they too encountered resistance from their followers (vv. 5-6; 14). Muhammad is just like them and better. Finally, Allah tells his prophet that it is Islam, despite the opposition, which will rule the world and rise above all other religions (vv.7-9) (For more on this "great commission" which is a distortion of the Great Commission in the Gospel of Matthew (28:18-20), refer to this article.)
Thus, the literary context of Sura 61:10-12 is warfare (q-t-l); Allah’s love of soldiers who fight in solid lines or ranks (the sura’s title); the condemnation of hypocrites who do not wish to fight, and Muhammad’s identity with Moses and Jesus, though Muhammad and his new religion triumphantly fulfill the first two leaders and their religions.
Interpreting Sura 61:10-12 reveals three unpleasant themes. First, the divine "bargain" has death as the currency behind it. What do Allah and his followers get in the exchange? The martyrs receive the forgiveness of sins and heaven, and Allah receives complete devotion to him in establishing his community and religion. Allah has sent Muhammad as his messenger with the truth—the final answer—which must win the world. Also, the bargain apparently saves even Muslims from a painful torment in hell. This image of humans suffering in hell, which includes even reluctant and disobedient Muslims like the hypocrites, occurs frequently enough in the Quran (2:81, 206; 23:103; 66:8; 20:124-126, to cite only a few); Muhammad’s prediction of it for many who disobey him demonstrates how much social control of the worst kind he exerts over his followers, many of whom waited for him to get his haircut so they could take even one hair and cherish it. The economic metaphor is effective, but diabolical in the context of warfare and fiery devotion.
Second, Muhammad guarantees martyrs a place in Islamic heaven in exchange for a struggle not only with their possessions, but also with their persons or lives. Hence, jihad in this context means more than a bloody struggle, but jihad also must include bloodshed in these three verses. They answer the misinformation spread by Muslim apologists that jihad means only and exclusively a struggle with sin in the soul. It may include that, but it must also include a bloody war in some contexts like the one for Sura 61:10-12.
Finally, in the bargain, Muhammad mixes salvation with works, which is bound to force Muslims to strive hard (j-h-d) to earn their place in heaven—pure, unadulterated grace gets lost in Islamic theology, but an unhealthy mixture of faith and works is the core belief. Hence, martyrdom is the ultimate good work; and from a psychological standpoint, doing the highest of the best deeds frees the jihadists’ minds from the torment of doubt over their eternal destiny. Today, the promise of a Garden is a strong inducement for troubled, would-be martyrs to kill themselves in their self-conceived jihad against the Great Satan, against the little Satan, and now even against the Iraqi Shi’ites, simply because their theology differs from the Sunnis.
Thus, Sura 61:10-12 can only whisper temptations in the ear of a Muslim with a radical bent and only propel him forward in the deadly economic trade of his life for the life to come in the context of jihad. Muhammad and his Quran are the deepest source of inspiration for today’s jihadists. Their path to heaven is secured by the ultimate good work mixed in with their twisted faith.
Sura 4:74
In this verse the Arabic switches from jihad to qital (q-t-l), and this word means warring, fighting and killing with swords, and it again becomes the currency for fatally selling or trading this life for the Hereafter.
4:74 Let those of you who are willing to trade the life of this world for the life to come, fight [q-t-l] in God’s way. To anyone who fights [q-t-l] in God’s way, whether killed [q-t-l] or victorious, We shall give a great reward. (Haleem)
Other translations of the key word "trade" (sh-r-a) in bold print read as follows: "sell" (Hilali and Khan, Fakhry, Yusuf Ali, Maulana, Pickthall, Shakir), "exchange" (Dawood), "barter" (Ahmed Ali) and "barter away" (Maududi), all of which have an economic connotation.
Like Sura 61, the historical context of Sura 4 is difficult to discover. Three different passages reveal that the sura occurred in nearly a three-year span: after the Battle of Uhud in 625 in which Islam lost 70 holy warriors (vv. 1-35); the so-called Prayer of Fear in which Muhammad instructs his soldiers how to pray during a military campaign in 626 (v. 101-103); and during still another military expedition in 627, in which he instructs his soldiers how to perform ablutions when no water is available (sand is used) (v. 43). Whichever timeframe Sura 4:74 fits into, the overall historical context shows Muhammad establishing his community in Medina during warfare outside of the city.
The literary context of Sura 4:74 consists of warfare (q-t-l) outside of Medina and strife within Medina between Muhammad and the faction of hypocrites, some of whom want only the spoils of war, and others of whom want peace, prayer, and almsgiving. Muhammad, however, chooses the warpath, along with forced prayer and forced almsgiving, two of the Five Pillars in Islam. Peace does not reign in early Islam.
Moreover, Muhammad splits the world in two according to believers and unbelievers in the context of warfare or q-t-l (v. 76). A believer fights (q-t-l) for God, but an unbeliever fights (q-t-l) for an unjust cause and for Satan. So the world is divided up into Dar-al-Islam (Abode of Islam) and Dar-al-Kufr (Abode of Unbelief), which belongs therefore to Dar-al-Harb (Abode of War). This means that Islam may wage war on unbelief, because this holy warfare—both q-t-l and j-h-d—eliminates the disciples of Satan, for example, citizens of the Great Satan and of the little Satan. If a civilization does not come under the control of Islam, then ipso facto it perpetuates injustice and unrighteousness, so Islam needs to subjugate it in order to purge out its bad qualities. A strategy in the gradual conquest can include aggressive martyrdom, as we will see in two Muslims’ interpretation of Sura 9:111, below.
The interpretation of Sura 4:74 is simple. First, the trade or selling of one’s life forms the currency in which one conducts the trade with the deity. Allah demands a Muslim’s whole life in the context of warfare. As a return payment, he gives the martyr Islamic heaven. In this scenario Allah receives the establishment of his true religion and guidance. Second, the short verse piles on violent and bloody qital in various forms, three times. This word clearly does not mean a struggle with sin only in the soul, to say the least. Next, a qitalist fights in God’s cause or way, and two results ensue: either he lives to fight another day so that maybe he can be martyred, or he dies in battle and securely goes to Islamic heaven, completing the ultimate good work. Finally, in a religious system (Islam) that requires an unspecified quantity of good works, today’s jihadists and qitalists have a strong psychological pull on their troubled minds to kill themselves in martyrdom. This lifts their burden of insecurity over their eternal destiny. They are inspired by their Founder who fought in sacred bloody battles (historical reality) and by his sacred book that conveniently endorses his sacred bloody battles (textual reality).
Sura 9:111
Muhammad continues using qital (q-t-l) in its various forms as the currency for his death-cult:
9:111 God has purchased the persons and possessions of the believers for the Garden—they fight [q-t-l] in God’s way: they kill [q-t-l] and are killed [q-t-l]—this is a true promise given by Him in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur’an. Who could be more faithful to his promise than God? So be happy with the bargain you have made: that is the supreme triumph. (Haleem)
Some translators agree with Haleem’s key words "purchased" (sh-r-a) and "bargain" (b-aa-c), but others use "bought" (Maulana, Yusuf Ali, Maududi, Fakhry, Pickthall, et al.), and one uses "pledge" for "bargain" (Shakir). With the possible exception of Shakir’s translation, which raises the commitment beyond just a bargain, all of these translations still remain within an economic semantic field.
The historical context of Sura 9:111 sees Muhammad returning from a military expedition against the Byzantine Empire in 630, two years before his death of a fever in 632. Muhammad heard a rumor that the Byzantines amassed an army some 700 miles to the north in Tabuk in order to attack Islam, so he led an army of 30,000 holy warriors to counter-strike preemptively. However, the Byzantines failed to materialize, so Muhammad’s expedition was fruitless, except he managed to extract (extort) agreements from northern tribes that they would not attack him and his community. They were also forced to pay a "protection" tax for the "privilege" of living under Islam. Muhammad’s military expedition qualifies as an Islamic Crusade long before the European ones. And as for the extortion of taxes, an army of 30,000 soldiers from the south must have deeply impressed the disunified, loose northern tribes, so in no way did they plan to attack Islam; thus, Muhammad’s forced tax was aggressive and hence unjust, not defensive and hence just.
The historical context of Sura 9:111, then, is warfare (q-t-l) on a large scale against the Byzantines.
The literary context of the targeted Sura 9:111 shows Muhammad scolding the hypocrites who finished building a mosque while he was away in Tabuk (vv. 107-110). They asked him to bless it when he returned to Medina, but instead he ordered it torn down. Truthfully, it is likely that they would have used it to stir up trouble within the Muslim community. In contrast to the hypocrites, in the verses after 9:111 Muhammad defines what true believers are: they do good works, bow down and prostrate themselves and forbid what is wrong (v. 112). Finally, Muslims ask their prophet if they should pray for their polytheistic relatives. He orders them not to, fabricating a story about Abraham who had prayed for his polytheist father, but who changed his mind and washed his hands of his father, after Abraham learned that he was the enemy of God. If Abraham prayed for his father only because he had made an earlier arrangement with him, but then washed his hands of him, why would Muslims pray for their relatives and ancestors (vv. 113-116)?
Thus, local verbal and political fighting (j-h-d and q-t-l); squabbling with his internal enemies like the hypocrites (cf. Sura 9:4, 73, 123); and disagreement with and correction of his uninformed Muslims who want to pray for their polytheist ancestors and relatives make up the literary context. (See this article for more information on Muhammad’s wars on the polytheists and hypocrites.)
To judge from the second and third steps (historical and literary contexts) in Suras 61:10-12, 4:74, and 9:111, it should be clear by now that Muhammad’s community in Medina does not experience very long stretches of peace, and this fact colors the very origins of Islam and what goes into the Quran. Islam at its core is not the religion of peace, contrary to the standard line fed to the unsuspecting West.
Sura 9:111 has caught the imagination of two widely used Muslim commentators, so we should let them speak for their own religion.
Sayyid Abdul A’la Maududi (d. 1979) was an Indo-Pakistani revivalist and radical who advocated the establishment of an Islamic state on the model of the prophet’s, from the top down without depending on swaying the public to accept the Islamic state. In other words, he opposed democracy and supported a centralized and powerful theocracy. Sayyid Qutb was an Egyptian radical and godfather of modern jihadist movements today. He was tried and executed in 1966 for plotting to overthrow the Egyptian government.
Maududi emphasizes the spiritual and psychological aspects of the divine transaction. A Muslim believer must be willing to relinquish his soul and possessions for Allah. A believer "surrenders his freedom and sacrifices his desires and wishes in this present world in return for His promise of the Gardens and eternal bliss in the Next World" ... Total devotion to a deity and total surrender of desires and wishes is the heart of the human-centered message of all of the great religions of the world. And total devotion can be positive. However, in the context of warfare (qital), combining the doctrine of total surrender with martyrdom is twisted and distorted.
Hence, Maududi commits two errors, one as a commentator, the other as a theologian. He fails to deal adequately with the context of Sura 9:111—fighting in war and killing and being killed. He seems to want only the spiritual side of sacrifice and to avoid the bloody mess of martyrdom in a pitched battle. The second error is theological. He says that a believer must go on fulfilling the terms of the transaction (selling his life to Allah) "up to his last breath." In an earlier note in his commentary on Sura 9, he says that a Muslim may atone for his sins by doing acts of charity. Of the many problems with the Islamic doctrine of salvation, the main one is its ambiguity. It does not specify the quantity of good works necessary to reach heaven. As noted, when this ambiguity is mixed in with the absoluteness of martyrdom in achieving heaven, the results can be deadly. Thus, a Muslim suffering from anxiety over his failure to totally surrender reads in his Quran (61:10-12; 4:74; 9:111) that if he dies as a martyr, he reaches heaven. Why would this not motivate him?
This is apparently true of Muhammad Atta, the Egyptian terrorist who crashed a fuel-laden jet into one of Twin Towers on 9/11. In a letter to his fellow jihadists, he accurately understands the doctrine of Quranic martyrdom:
You should feel complete tranquility, because the time between you and your marriage [in heaven] is very short. Afterwards begins the happy life, where God is satisfied with you. And eternal bliss ‘in the company of the prophets, the companions, the martyrs and the good people’ ...
He also told them to tame their souls because they must have "100% obedience." But how does one define absolute obedience? Islamic martyrdom. He fulfilled the terms of the economic transaction by doing the highest and best deed imaginable: selling his life to Allah in a worldwide battle against the Great Satan, the Dar-al-Kufr (Abode of Unbelief), which is subject to warfare (Dar-al-Harb). It must also be stated that many of the Muslim martyrs may be mentally troubled, but surely some of them act with level heads. They follow a simple, rational equation:
Total surrender = martyrdom in a holy war = Islamic heaven.
For Islam, this is 100% obedience. Historically, Muhammad the Founder of Islam engaged in this warfare on Dar-al-Kufr, for example, against the polytheist Meccans and against the Christian Byzantines. Fighting them for Allah signifies total surrender, which in turn leads to Islamic heaven. How could terrorists not be inspired by their prophet and his book?
Qutb is a radical, but a straightforward radical because, unlike Maududi, he deals with the historical context of warfare in his comments on Sura 9:111; indeed he embraces it with deep emotion. "Hence the sense of dread that I now feel as I am writing these words" [of 9:111]. In a section he subtitles "A Very Special Contract," Qutb, following Muhammad, scolds the Muslims around the world who are unwilling to sacrifice their lives in the cause of Allah (code for war). His rebuke also reveals a call that echoes in the head of all jihadists of the last several generations:
The [economic] deal fills us with awe. Yet those who are claiming to be Muslims everywhere, from the far east to the far west are sitting idle, unwilling to strive hard in order to establish the fundamental truth of God’s Lordship [read: Islam] on earth, or to remove the tyranny which usurps the qualities of Lordship over human life on earth [read: non-Islamic governments]. They are unwilling to fight, kill and be killed for God’s cause ...
This excerpt reflects his ideology laced throughout his multivolume commentary. He assumes that Islam is the fundamental truth of God’s Lordship, and Muslims must be willing to fight in order to impose it on the world.
Furthermore, as Sura 9:111 says at the end of the verse, Qutb reminds his fellow jihadists that they must rejoice in the bargain; they should gladly give up their lives, which amounts to nothing compared with the virgin-rich Garden. This reflects another verse that demonstrates that the early Muslims were eager to die in battle. In the historical context of the Battle of Uhud in 625 (see above, Sura 61:10-12), Muhammad tells his jihadists: "Before you encountered death, you were hoping for it" ... (Sura 3:143). This means that martyrs are allowed to hope for death in battle, and, logically, this permits Muslim suicide-homicide bombers today to seek out a means of death in a worldwide struggle to eliminate the enemies of Allah. In fact, Sura 3:143 is precisely the verse that Muhammad Atta quotes in his letter, and he too tells his jihadists to be optimistic and cheerful.
Finally, Qutb believes that all governments that are non-Islamic are ipso facto tyrannical because they impose order apart from Allah and his revealed will in the Quran and in the Sharia, the code of law derived from the Quran and the words and deeds of Muhammad. It never occurs to Qutb that the Quran and the Sharia are tyrannical by their very nature. It is no wonder that Qutb did not endorse democracy and neither does Zarqawi, the Jordanian evil-doer who beheads innocent civilians, saying recently that democracy is evil and that he will wage a fierce war on it.
To sum up the essence of Suras 61:10-12, 4:74, and 9:111, the doctrine of Islamic martyrdom has been placed in economic terms in the historical context of aggressive warfare. A Muslim sells his life through martyrdom in a holy war in a bargain with Allah. In return, the believer gets the guaranteed reward of Islamic heaven. For the deity’s part, he uses the surrender to spread his true religion around the world. Allah will establish Islam and get the ultimate victory. This guarantee appeals to Muslims today, who sell their lives in martyrdom against the Great Satan and the little Satan. Allah asks his fighters to "rejoice" in the bargain they have made with him, that is, to be inspired by it.
Biblical Martyrdom
The literary context of Sura 61:10-12, as well as Sura 9:111, invite the readers to contrast Muhammad and the Quran with Moses and the Torah and Jesus and the Gospels. Islam claims to implement a new way of thinking about God and living under his reign, under the "blessing" of the Sharia. We answer three Muslim apologists, Qutb, Maududi, and Yusuf Ali, in their commentaries on Sura 9:111. We repeat that the Christian doctrine of salvation (grace through faith in the sacrifice of Christ on the cross) does not and cannot lead to deliberate martyrdom in a holy military war. Islam degrades the positive path of total devotion found in the Gospels (and the Torah). The subject of martyrdom challenges Islam’s superiority.
To begin with, Muhammad’s knowledge of the Torah was limited and confused. Attempting to clarify his prophet’s confusion, Qutb says that the Old Testament orders jihad, but that distortions have crept into these Scriptures and hence into "their concept of God and what striving for His cause means." Maududi seeks to clear up Muhammad’s confusion as well, saying that the Torah does not have a developed view of heaven (in this he may be right). But he also says that God commands the ancient Hebrews to fight, but that they degraded the original command of winning heaven; instead, the Hebrews fought to win Canaan. But Qutb is as wrong as his prophet, and Maududi in his latter claim is wrong as well. It is true that the First Law says that the ancient Hebrews under Moses should fight under specific conditions in order to purge the land of Canaan, but in no way does the Torah exalt to high heaven the cult of martyrdom in an economy of death—this is proven by the so-called "undeveloped" doctrine of heaven in the Torah. God does not purchase the ancient Hebrews in exchange for paradise. (For more on the differences between God’s wars and Allah’s wars, refer to this article.)
Furthermore, Muhammad in his "inerrant Quran" is dead wrong when he asserts that the Gospels encourage the economy of death for Jesus and his followers. True, out of the deep and authentic love of God, Jesus willingly lays down his life for the sins of the world—even for the sins of the polytheists whom Muhammad slaughters—but a martyr’s death-cult is never built up for his followers to seek out fame on earth and a place in heaven. Christ died to secure his followers’ place in heaven, so that Christians do not have to kill themselves or to die from persecution in order to get into heaven, for this would insult Christ’s unique redemption on the cross. He was the final and ultimate "Martyr," and the effect of his "Martyrdom" transfers to all believers in him.
Yusuf Ali in his commentary on Sura 9:111 (note 1362) disputes this path of salvation, asserting that the "corrupted" Christian view of the atonement of Christ’s death on the cross is rejected by Islam. What Allah wants is submission, which may include "fighting for the Cause, both spiritual and physical." In reply to Yusuf Ali, however, it is difficult to find a Muslim who understands fully what the Christian doctrine of atonement means, though it is not so difficult to grasp. If he were to grasp it, he may not dismiss it so easily as "corrupted" and hence inferior, especially when it is contrasted with fighting and killing and being killed as a martyr in Allah’s cause (9:111). For all generations of Christians from the first century until now, the New Testament, which is the original source of Christian theology, says that only Christ saves through his blood on the cross; no reservoir of human good deeds can save, and certainly not a reservoir filled with jihadist blood from warfare for a "divine" cause. Christ’s atonement on the cross is the more peaceful and the more secure way to heaven.
Next, Maududi quotes Matt. 5:10; 10:39; 19:29, all of which speak of laying down one’s life and giving up one’s possessions. He infers that the Gospels also contain passages that exhort Christians to lay down their lives in a physical way. Thus, the New Testament and the Quran match up. It is true that the New Testament verses he cites speak of a willingness to give up all material possessions for the kingdom of God and to lay down one’s life mainly in a spiritual way, and possibly in a physical death under severe and fatal persecution, but the verses are not found in the context of a bloody religious war. Rather, Jesus calls his disciples to pick up their cross and follow him (Matt. 10:38, 16:24; Mark 8:34; Luke 9:23, 14:27), but he also says that they should do this daily (Luke 9:23). The image of the cross means that they must follow Jesus no matter what, on a daily basis, which precludes an earthly martyrdom, which is done only once; per contra, a "daily martyrdom" is continuous. A twisted love of physical death is not in view in those New Testament passages in the context of qital.
It is also true that some of the early Christians suffer martyrdom, but, again, never in the cause of warfare; rather, they are persecuted and put to death because the listeners and local authorities are offended at their message, not because the Christians "fight in God’s way: they kill and are killed" (Sura 9:111). Stephen is the prime example and the first martyr in Christianity (Acts 6:8-8:1). He was stoned to death because he preached the truth, not because he was chopping off heads in a battle, only to have his head chopped off in turn by an enemy who had sneaked up behind him. His place in heaven was already secure before he preached or died, because Christ had saved him in his "Martyr’s" death on the cross.
True, the risen Christ predicted martyrdom for a few of his followers in the church at Smyrna (Rev. 2:10), but they did not initiate it in warfare; they were being persecuted—severely and fatally. Moreover, after their deaths, this New Testament church did not raise a small army to wage a jihad on their persecutors (as Muhammad did on his Meccan persecutors). It is better to die loving one’s executioner than to kill the executioner in rage. This stands in sharp contrast to Muhammad’s misguided belief that fighting enemies will relieve the rage that his Muslims have against them (Sura 9:15).
It is also true that some later Christians even sought out martyrdom, though not in the context of military warfare, but to win fame. Church authorities rightly rebuked them. The following cannot be repeated too often because it diametrically opposes the Islamic doctrine of salvation: only Christ’s "Martyrdom" guarantees a believer’s place in heaven; only his ultimate good work on the cross paves the way to God. Thus, the Christian does not (or should not) have a psychological inducement to kill himself or to be killed in battle to achieve heaven. He needs only trust in Christ.
So Jesus and his disciples through the first three centuries turned the world upside down by simple proclamation, not by butchering with swords (or by threatening to butcher with swords) people who opposed their ministry—the warpath of Emperor Constantine in the fourth century and the Medieval Crusaders do not set the genetic code in the very origins of Christianity in the New Testament. On the other hand, Muhammad is foundational to Islam, and he says that a martyr’s death in the cause of Allah (cause = war) guarantees heaven. The contrast between the two religions is stark. Christ’s way leads to life and the light; Muhammad’s way leads to death and darkness.
Hence, the deadly bargain of martyrdom is completely foreign to devout Christians and even to nominal Christians world over, who no longer take their faith seriously. Christians want heaven, and they are assured of it by the atoning death of Christ, once they receive his Holy Spirit—the divine, life-transforming Spirit of God, who is not the angel Gabriel as claimed in Muslim theology.
Why would a Christian choose the inferior path to heaven—the one that Muhammad teaches—death by martyrdom in a qital or war? Total devotion and surrender should not be perverted. Instead, total devotion and surrender to Christ is far better, for he produces divine love and true inner peace, and hence his real path to heaven far surpasses Muhammad’s claims and "revelations" that conveniently support his wars. Christ rose above such petty, dubious assertions and cleared the way to heaven with his Death and Resurrection.
Thus, Islam does not complete or fulfill Christianity. Rather, Muhammad’s religion is a degradation and a distortion of Christianity, devolving downwards from it.

Iranian President-Elect Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad: "Is There Art that Is More Beautiful, More Divine, and More Eternal than the Art of Martyrdom?"
The following are excerpts from a speech by Iranian President-Elect Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad, which aired on Iranian Channel 1 on July 25, 2005.
Ahmadi-Nejad: We want art that is on the offensive. Art on the offensive exalts and defends the noble principles, and attacks principles that are corrupt, vulgar, ungodly, and inhuman.
Art reaches perfection when it portrays the best life and best death. After all, art tells you how to live. That is the essence of art. Is there art that is more beautiful, more divine, and more eternal than the art of martyrdom? A nation with martyrdom knows no captivity. Those who wish to undermine this principle undermine the foundations of our independence and national security. They undermine the foundation of our eternity.
The message of the (Islamic) Revolution is global, and is not restricted to a specific place or time. It is a human message, and it will move forward.
Have no doubt... Allah willing, Islam will conquer what? It will conquer all the mountain tops of the world.

Italy expels Muslim 'preachers'
By David Willey
BBC News in Rome
Eight purported Islamic fundamentalist preachers arrested for being in Italy illegally are being summarily expelled.
Police said the men were Palestinians who had been touring Italy's Umbria region for the past month in two vans.
When stopped by officers at a checkpoint near the town of Perugia on Monday, they were found to have no residence permits and were arrested.
They are among hundreds of foreigners discovered to be in Italy illegally who are now being expelled each month.
The men were put on an internal flight to Milan, where they were expected to be transferred to another plane and expelled from Italy.
Resources 'stretched'
Passengers at Perugia airport were startled to see the bearded preachers in their white robes with a large police escort being accompanied on to a plane on Tuesday afternoon.
The immigration office in Rome said more than 1,300 illegal immigrants had been formally expelled in the past two months alone.
However, police resources are stretched and fewer than half of these were actually escorted to the frontier to ensure that the expulsion orders were carried out.
Fewer still are actually escorted to their countries of origin because of the high costs involved.
It was not yet clear to which country the Palestinian preachers were initially being sent nor whether they would have a police escort as they left Italy.
Police have said they are making further investigations into their activities in the country.

Gang Stalking Techniques in the NE area!
by MRG
Saturday, Oct. 08, 2005 at 9:20 AM
One Major Component in the US. There are other smaller ones.
This is a highly developed cookbook lethal weapon that simulates Paranoia, Dilutions, SCHIZOPHRENIA and Hyper vigilance. Since this is EVENT driven it is NOT a mental illness, it is only a mental INJURY. The only cure is to get away from it, not Medication or Psychotherapy!!!
Gang or multi-stalking has been developed over the years by mobs or gangs that may be associated with some truckers. They can also coerce smaller groups even the victims neighbors to go along. Anyone getting in their way or even just insulting them, can lead to 10 or more years of multi-stalking attacks. The leaders (Sociopaths with extremely low self esteem) are professional bullies (may be paid) who may seem to have an ordinary life but can identify a person as a target or victim.
There are 3 basic types of attacks.
1. One common attack is additional traffic on the street driving by the victim's house, as much as 30-40 extra cars per day. Usually only the victim is aware of this, but neighborhood dogs can sense the strangers and there is much more barking. Again only the victim notices this.
Reason - This makes the victim feel strange and hunted and induces the simulated Paranoia
Their expertise - Driving is their business
Again there are so many drivers and their families who are associated with this work, a different car or truck can be used every time! True organized Multi-Stalking!! GPS and Cell phones make it much easier these days!
2. Breaking into the house and installing monitoring to find out their victim's scheduled appointments for disrupting and harassing.
Reason - Disrupt their life, but makes it not believable that others are causing it! Creates Hyper vigilance.
Expertise - The newest high tech monitoring is sometimes installed for contract negotiations in tough disputes. They have many members with money and people to do it!
3. Breaking into the victims business or place of employment and messing things up to make it looks like the victim did it. Also Creates Hyper vigilance
Reason - Make them loose their job or career.
Expertise - Associated gang can recruit maintenance people who have access.
Also Street theatre is sometime used with a parked car with Doors(s) or trunk left open in the daytime and cars parked with Headlights Left on at night. Eighteen Wheelers parked on the side of the road with headlights on as his victim drives by. People getting out of cars or trucks as the victim passes by is another form of this harassment. This shows they are being targeted and to GET OUT of town! This can be diagnosed or seen as delusional which doctors interpret as SCHIZOPHRENIA!!
These types of harassment was found to replace Murder (They were called Murder Inc.) Many times the victims commit suicide thus creating the ultimate crime and getting away with it!!!

Do you imply you have any credibility worth defending? And how stupid can a man be to say that someone with the name of Aaron is a forger? Could it possibly be that there's more than one Aaron or Bob or Tom Dick and Harry on this planet?
Your name ain't shit. Live with it.
