VFA volunteers protest the sale of foie gras at Laforet in Highland Park on October 30, 2004. Using placards and carved pumpkins with an anti-foie gras message, VFA made their first appearance at Laforet as part of their ongoing Foie Gras-Free Pittsburgh campaign.

Voices for Animals of Western Pennsylvania began protesting the latest target, Laforet, as part of their Foie Gras-Free Pittsburgh campaign in Highland Park on Saturday, October 30. After two correspondences requesting to meet with the restaurant owners in an effort to get them to pull the product from their menus failed, approximately a dozen VFA volunteers took action with placards and uniquely carved pumpkins in opposition to their ongoing sale of gourmet cruelty.
