RACHEL CORRIE VIGIL
On March 16, 2003 Rachel Corrie, an American peace activist with the International Solidarity Movement, was killed by an Israeli army Caterpillar bulldozer while she was trying to prevent the demolition of a Palestinian house in the Gaza Strip. Although the driver of the bulldozer claimed that he did not see Rachel, she was standing directly in front of him at a distance of 15 meters, while using a bullhorn and wearing an orange fluorescent jacket. Despite these circumstances and several eyewitness accounts claiming that the driver intentionally ran over Rachel, the Israeli army is taking no disciplinary measures against any of those involved in the incident.
Although the Bush Administration is yet to undertake any sort of investigation into Rachel’s death, 53 members of Congress have cosponsored a resolution calling for an investigation. House Resolution 111 calls on our government to “undertake a full, fair, and expeditious investigation” into Rachel’s death and to ensure that such an incident “never occurs again.”
Rachel died while demonstrating her solidarity with the Palestinian people and against the plight they suffer under an Israeli military occupation that has existed for over thirty-five years. As we approach the one-year anniversary of her death, many of us here in Pittsburgh are moved to commemorate her sacrifice. Yet as we do so, we remain troubled by news of the continuing Israeli-Palestinian conflict that is escalating at a seemingly exponential rate while the Bush Administration remains completely disengaged
Please join us on the one-year anniversary of Rachel’s death to honor and commemorate her. The commemoration shall consist of a brief talk by a member of ISM, as well as prayers and poetry. We shall conclude with a short candlelight vigil.
Date & Time: Tuesday, March 16, 2004 from 5:30p.m. to 6:30p.m.
Location: Lawn of Pitt Student Union at the corner of Forbes and Bigelow.

brainwashing kids?

I'm surprised that Hillel bothered showing up and heckling people at a memorial to Rachel Corrie, who is dead. Does this strike anyone else as senseless?
I went to see what Hillel is about, and this is what I found:

Are these people brainwashing kids?
"KEY ISRAEL ACTIVISTS." Interesting. I wonder what that means.
CMU and Pitt welcome these people with open arms?

Encouraging children to pretend to be warriors, I doubt it's Rachel Corrie's fault...

Rachel Corrie did not have the intellect or strength of character to be in the US military. If you do not understand the difference between the US military and the Fatah and other PA terror organizations, then you are cursed with the same debilitating ignorance as Rachel and crew.

So Corrie's death was just a cheap, cynical photo op?
Get a new comic strip.

George W. Bush did not have the intellect or strength of character to be in the US military or even to report for his anemic, New England, blue-blood affiramtive action National Guard duty.
>If you do not understand the difference between the US >military and the Fatah and other PA terror organizations,
The US miltary has uniforms, and kill with my tax money, Fatah and the PA terror organizations do not.
They are all the pawns of inbred, pampered religious nuts.
No, Corrie's Death was the direct result of her own stupidity

I don't advocate sitting in front of bulldozers, either, especially when you are being exploited by proponents of one of the popular goatherd death-cults. The Israeli ghettos and genocide must stop, but attacking cafes and civilian busses (military is OK)won't help.
The same goes for the young Americans who are economically drafted and die for Halliburton. It's senseless like an overdose.
The young suicide bombers and soldiers should deliver their payloads to those who give the orders. This is the only road to peace.

Read all about it. Tragic it was. It was also unnecessary. The ISM treats people like sacrificial cattle for its own causes.
John Kerry Remembers Rachel

We, the un-named foreign leaders, endorse John Kerry. We are the same leaders who made our endorsements known in Spain. We enjoyed John Kerry's fundraising Pancake Breakfast in Remembrance of Rachel Corrie (who we would refer to as a Western Whore if she were not a fortuitous martyr).

Pro-chioce Republican Kerry is OK with us. Just so one of our inbred, anemic, New England (George you're from CT, not TX) rich boys becomes CEO of Govco, all is right with the world.
Kerry hates the US as much as Bush, especially where AIPAC money is concerned.

This image, which people like "jonas" keeps promoting, is a fake. The shadows don't match, the guy has no feet, etc. It's been debunked all over the web.
The other images at the site show different dozers too, but the ISM wants you to think it's a timeline.
I too think the ISM killed Corrie, and left an image trail that doesn't pan out.
