In preparation for the January peace rally and march POG is constructing some puppets. Shown is the frame and construction of the main puppet, Georgie Boy Number One. Also seen in the background of some images are soon-to-be heads of corrupt businessmen to flank Georgie.

Georgie Boy Number One is planned to be holding a missle in one hand and an oil can in the other. Completed, he is planned to stand 10-12feet tall. Thanks to everyone who has helped! More to come later as painting and some final construction details are done.

First Phase Complete...

The first phase of paper mache is done as the body is completly covered and the left arm has been formed. The wood was actually removed from the frame of the left arm, deviating from the raw frame shown above. Just a chicken-wire form supports the arm, which was wired onto the shoulder via garbage bag ties.

This is the beginning of phase two of paper mache. The missle was wired onto the end of the right arm, while the left arm is formed from a thin cardboard tube. A second layer of paper mache was added to the body and head for further support.

Phase Two Continues...

The missle has been completely covered, and the construction of the left hand has begun. A piece of thin rope was used to suport the weight of the missle, as the chicken-wire only frame of the left arm wavered a bit under the weight of the missle.
