Pennsylvania to increase minimum wage statewide

Recently passed state legislation will raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania by $2 over the next year.  Governor Ed Rendell will be in Pittsburgh on Thursday July 13th to sign the bill at the Steelworkers' building.

Barney Oursler of the Mon Valley Unemployed Committee, who pushed for the increase for five years, told Rustbelt Radio that this law will give low wage workers the opportunity to support themselves and their families.
